The bodyguards quickly brought the situation under control.
"Stop!"
"Mr. Xavier, you… What in the world are you going to do?" The leader had been beaten to within an inch of his life, looking like a stray dog with its tail between its legs.
His tone was filled with fear. After all, the Damian Xavier before him now was different from the one moments ago. He no longer had any leverage and was in no position to negotiate terms.
However, Damian Xavier just gave him a dark look and waved his hand.
The bodyguards understood and nodded, quickly dialing the police.
Damian Xavier then led Aria Sterling away, leaving the abandoned room and the factory without a backward glance.
"I'm fine now. You can let me go back on my own," Aria Sterling said, pulling her hand from Damian Xavier's grasp.
A flicker of light crossed Damian's eyes, and his brow furrowed. "Trying to burn the bridge now that you've crossed the river so soon?"
"What do you mean, burn the bridge?"
