Watching Aria Sterling's expression change slightly, Victor Lawson's face filled with concern. "Mr. Hayes, is something troubling you?"
"It's nothing, Mr. Lawson. Is there no room for negotiation on this matter?"
Victor Lawson looked distressed. "Mr. Hayes, I'd like to negotiate with them too, but you know Mr. Xavier's temper. His word is law, and he won't change his mind. If you don't help arrange a meeting, he won't see me at all."
Aria Sterling thought for a moment.
"Mr. Lawson, can I think about it and get back to you?"
Victor Lawson naturally agreed.
After seeing Victor Lawson out, Aria Sterling glanced at the time. It was already 5:40.
Damian Xavier should be off work and back home by now.
Gritting her teeth, Aria Sterling decided to go see Damian Xavier after all. She had to find out exactly why he was so insistent on seeing her.
And all of this was just as Damian Xavier had predicted.
Damian Xavier had asked Mrs. Wyatt to prepare dinner early on.
