At the mention of the word "girlfriend," Damian Xavier's expression changed in an instant. His face, which had just begun to soften, turned even uglier than before.
He ignored the two children and fixed his gaze on Aria Sterling. "I need to talk to you. Come with me. I don't want to say it again."
Aria Sterling bit her lip. She knew Damian Xavier's temper; if she didn't go along with him, he'd surely make an ugly scene.
With the two children still here, she didn't want them to get scared.
After a moment's hesitation, she patted the two little ones on the head and turned to Julian Grant. "Julian, I'm sorry, but I can't go back with you today. I'll arrange another time."
Julian Grant looked at her. "Aria, you don't have to listen to him."
He stood at her side like a protector.
Damian Xavier's face darkened. "What's between me and Aria Sterling is none of your business."
"Aria's business is my business," Julian Grant retorted, not backing down.
