Raina Sterling sat in a café across the street, watching the time tick by second by second. She waited as employees of the Xavier Group steadily streamed downstairs toward the restaurants, but she never caught a glimpse of Damian Xavier.
'Does he have his meals delivered to his office?'
Just as she was about to leave, she saw a glimmer of hope.
Damian Xavier was stepping out of the side VIP elevator, accompanied by another person.
Her eyes lit up instantly. She snatched her bag and hurried over.
The moment Raina Sterling stepped outside, she charged forward in her high heels. She'd forgotten that the road separated her from the Xavier Group building, and there was a traffic light in the middle.
