Damian Xavier finally let go of her hand.
Aria Sterling, now free, turned and walked into the Old Town Hotel without so much as a glance back.
Damian Xavier stood his ground, his expression as dark and turbulent as a gathering storm.
He clenched his hand into a tight fist, and a sharp, cold light glinted in his deep eyes as he stared at the restaurant entrance.
Aria Sterling sat back down across from Adrian Sinclair.
"Mr. Hayes, were you just with Mr. Xavier?"
Aria Sterling's face paled slightly. She hadn't expected Adrian Sinclair to see them.
"Yes. The Sterling Group is partnered with the Xavier Group, so we just exchanged a few words," Aria Sterling said calmly to Adrian Sinclair, her composure quickly returning.
"Forgive my boldness, but I only recently learned that you and Mr. Xavier were once married."
Aria Sterling froze. She hadn't expected Adrian Sinclair to bring it up so bluntly.
