Aria Sterling was instantly on alert when she heard the voice.
"Who are you?"
"Miss Sterling, Miles Sterling is your grandfather, isn't he?" The man's voice seemed to hold a wicked smirk. Aria wasn't sure, but the mention of her grandfather made her tense up immediately.
"What do you want?" she demanded, her brows furrowed. She couldn't understand why this person was bringing up her grandfather.
The man on the other end clearly sensed Aria's anxiety and let out a bizarre laugh. "Looks like you and your grandpa are close. In that case, shouldn't a dutiful granddaughter like you come take a little trip for his sake?"
Aria Sterling's heart plummeted. "What did you say? What are you going to do to my grandfather?"
"Nothing's happened to him… yet. But if Miss Sterling doesn't show up at the location I give her, well, I can't guarantee her grandfather's safety."
Then, a voice she knew all too well came from the other end of the line—"Aria!"
