"So, do you know Magic? The more powerful, the better?"
The Lord's gaze was fixed on the Dragon Soul. If it so much as uttered the word "yes," then a Red Dragon named Digen would vanish from this world completely.
In his view, that Magic stuff was a tool for schemers. One wrong move and you could get screwed over. Especially by a Giant Dragon that had been so powerful in life.
"Even Dragon Language Magic requires Magic Power to cast. I... I'm just a wisp of a True Spirit now. I can't cast any Magic." The Red Dragon shook its head with difficulty, but then quickly added, "But I know many secrets unknown to the world, and I can control the Dragon Flame on this sword. My Lord, I'm useful!"
"Congratulations. Your honesty has earned you a chance to live."
'Was it really because of my honesty?' Digen thought.
Even a Goblin could see the real reason.
But the dragon was now under someone else's roof. It knew better than to say more, and simply put on a look of profound gratitude.
