A bloodcurdling shriek, as if from the depths of Hell, rang out. Green flames erupted, roaring through the entire tunnel. The soldiers caught in the blast only had time for a single cry before their black iron armor melted into red liquid and their flesh burned to ash.
The green fire surged out of the tunnel like a tidal wave...
Tess, who had been about to enter the tunnel with Count Winter, heard only faint screams and muffled thuds from within. His heart skipped a beat. The next second, his vision was filled with green.
