The virus could temporarily lower a person's Beastification Value, but it wasn't actually reducing it. Instead, it was storing the value up. Once the virus matured, it would erupt with full force.
And now was the time for this virus to mature and erupt. It spread through contact. If a non-carrier touched something a carrier had touched, they would be infected. This made it impossible to guard against.
Currently, the Imperial Research Institute was working on a way to eliminate this virus.
