BANG!
A gunshot rang out.
Fresh blood splattered out, its warmth spraying across Jiang Zheyu's face.
She had aimed for Si Yu's heart, but she didn't know if she had hit it.
A bullet hole now marred his pristine white suit, and blood was steadily pouring from the wound.
Jiang Zheyu subconsciously looked up at Si Yu, who was, in turn, looking down at her.
The two stared at each other in silence, a cold contest of wills.
Si Yu's dark green eyes watched her, a flicker of surprise giving way to calm. He reached out, took her hand that held the gun, and guided it to his own chest. "Yu Yu," he said softly, "you missed. The heart is here."
He watched her quietly, then the corner of his lip curled into a smile. "So clever, Yu Yu. You could still choose to kill me."
'He's gone to the trouble of pointing out his heart for me. Wouldn't it be rude not to shoot?' Jiang Zheyu was about to pull the trigger on the laser gun.
