Lin Ruoxi was well aware she was a bit of an airhead; her grandmother and Xue Rui often told her so.
"Do you know what Xue Rui is up to these days?" Director Wang asked.
"I do. He went to eat with Gu Muxue today." Lin Ruoxi obediently reported Xue Rui's itinerary.
"..." Director Wang's brow furrowed.
'Xue Rui actually told Lin Ruoxi about his date so nonchalantly.'
'What is that kid playing at? Is he testing Lin Ruoxi's boundaries?'
Director Wang hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What do you think their relationship is?"
He'd had a fierce internal struggle before asking. The question basically implied that Xue Rui and Gu Muxue were together, and he had no idea if Lin Ruoxi could handle such a blow...
"They're very good friends," Lin Ruoxi said timidly.
'When Xue Rui hung out with Gu Muxue, she actually felt a little unhappy... and envious...'
