Chu Yunhai led him straight to the main house. The two sat down, and without calling for tea or offering any pleasantries, Chu Yunhai immediately cut to the chase. "Speak. Why has the Yuwen Ancestor sought me out? What does he require?"
Yuwen Mingjue leaned forward slightly, cupping his hands in a fist-and-palm salute. "Senior Brother Chu," he said with a smile, "my Ancestor was overjoyed to hear that you defeated Yang Jing and claimed the title of the sect's number one potential seed. He has specially dispatched me to invite you to the Yuwen Mansion, so that we may hold a humble banquet to celebrate your success."
At these words, Chu Yunhai's brow furrowed slightly. He shook his head, his tone flat. "There's no need for such trouble. I appreciate the Ancestor's kind intentions. However, my Master has been instructing me diligently of late. I must remain by his side to receive his teachings and focus on my cultivation. It is truly difficult for me to leave the sect for a banquet."
