"What's wrong?"
Julian asked, looking puzzled at Mark's expression.
"Nothing," Mark said nonchalantly, shaking his head. "Just a little envious of them."
"I know, right?" Julian lamented. "People like us struggle our whole lives just to work for people like them."
"Yeah, yeah," Mark said, his eyes still fixed on Anya's photo. "You're absolutely right."
"Trust funds worth hundreds of millions the moment they turn eighteen, private jets, luxury yachts..." Julian mused. "When I first made partner five years ago, that was the first time I saw what real money looks like."
He saw that Mark's attention seemed to be completely focused on the documents he'd given him.
"So, are you going to take this?" he asked.
"Yes, that's right. I'll take it."
A smile appeared on Julian's face as he handed the file to Mark.
Back in his office at Merrill Lynch Securities, Mark immediately locked the door, pulled down the blinds, and spread out the documents from Julian.
