For a moment, she felt a little lost.
Just as she was spacing out, a familiar voice called to her.
"Wen Wan, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?"
Wen Wan turned around to find Lu Fan standing beside her.
She was a little surprised. "Uncle Lu, what are you doing here?"
Lu Fan explained, "I came to discuss something with the university. I'm planning to establish a startup fund. When it's ready, you and Sifan can apply for it with your startup project. Who knows, you might even get my funding."
Wen Wan was delighted to hear this. A startup fund like that would be a huge help to their project.
Lu Fan had actually known for a while that Wen Wan's family was having difficulties, so he broached the subject indirectly. "I think I overheard you on the phone talking about money. What's wrong? Is your family running into trouble?"
Wen Wan faltered.
She didn't know if she should tell him, but she had a feeling it wouldn't be right.
She was conflicted.
