Ian Donovan felt an intense gaze on his back.
When he turned, he only caught a glimpse of Vivian Sterling's back as she went inside.
He didn't think much of it.
He went back to focusing on the task at hand.
Evan Sinclair shook his head. "You're really something else. For that little tyrant to actually treat you well, she must have had a change of heart."
He finished folding the paper crane and put it into a small bottle he carried with him.
"She doesn't have a conscience."
'Would someone with a conscience make him eat a thousand pieces of candy in two months?'
'It's like she's afraid he *won't* get sick from it.'
Ian Donovan started walking toward Class Six and ran right into Elliot Prescott.
He was coming from Class Two, across the hall.
He gave Ian Donovan a polite smile.
Then he joined Evan Sinclair, called over Leon Grant, and they left together.
Ian Donovan stood there for a moment, his brow furrowed slightly as he watched them walk away.
