In the dead of night, the faint blue glow of a terminal illuminated Philinos's sweat-slicked face.
A message arrived from a subordinate:
[Captain, I've got the Inhibitors. Should I bring them over?]
Philinos was about to reply that it wasn't necessary, but then he looked at the soundly sleeping Ning in his arms. After a moment's thought, he replied:
[Package it well. Give it to Ah Mo and have it toss it into the courtyard for me.]
After sending the message, Philinos added another line for emphasis:
[None of you are to come near the courtyard, and Ah Mo is not to enter either.]

Early the next morning, Gu Ning was woken by the vibration of her terminal.
Her eyes weren't even open, and she was still groggy. She fumbled for the terminal to answer the call but accidentally hung up.
It was quiet for a moment. Just as Gu Ning was about to drift back to sleep, the terminal started vibrating again.
Gu Ning curled up, blearily cracking her eyes open to accept the call.
