"I think... this is for you."
Gu Ning held the white chiffon dress in her hands, repeatedly gesturing between herself and the Little Fairy Bird to confirm.
"Philinos, do you... want to try it on?"
she asked, looking at the Little Fairy Bird, whose expression didn't seem too good.
Philinos resisted the impulse to snatch the thing from Gu Ning's hands and throw it away. He pushed her hands down. "I'm not wearing it."
Not that he wouldn't try, but that he wouldn't wear it.
"Oh." Gu Ning put down the pretty dress. "It's too thin. Not suitable for winter."
But this is probably an outer layer, right? If you were to wear it by itself, it's so sheer, that would be too...
An image of the Little Fairy Bird wearing the dress flashed through Gu Ning's mind, and she immediately shook it away.
'If I think about it any more, I'm really going to get a nosebleed.'
"Wear it in the summer," Gu Ning said. "It'll be cool."
