The hostility dancing between Xin Feng's brows dissipated. Holding her hands, he asked with concern, "Really?"
"I'm not lying to you! She was injured, so her Beast Husband took her back."
Xin Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief. "It's my fault. You don't have any other Beast Husbands, so I shouldn't have left you and the cubs behind to go up the mountain."
Xin Feng truly blamed himself. Fortunately, nothing irreversible had happened. Until the warm season arrived, he would never take a single step away from Wanwan and the cubs again.
Bai Wanwan shook her head and pulled down her sleeves. "Who could have known she'd go crazy? It has nothing to do with you. You were just worried about me and the cubs."
She certainly understood Xin Feng's intentions. It was so cold that she didn't even want to step out the door, yet Xin Feng had braved the freezing temperatures and danger to hunt on the mountain for the little cubs. The kicker was that those cubs weren't even his.
