"Sonia!" Felix Preston reached out and grabbed her, his brow tightly furrowed. "Where are you going?"
Sonia Quincy's reaction was placid. "I'm going downstairs to handle this."
Felix Preston walked over to her on his crutch, his eyes filled with nothing but heartache and worry. "You don't even owe them money, so what is there to handle? Just stay put and don't go running off. I'll call the police right now."
"It's no use," Sonia Quincy said calmly. "The police can't guard us forever. If we want to get rid of them for good, I'm the only one who can face them."
"No!" Felix Preston tightened his grip on her hand, adamantly refusing to let her go downstairs. "There are so many of them. There's no way I'm letting you go down there to face them alone."
Sonia Quincy said, "Then get me some bodyguards. Find a few trustworthy people to go with me, okay?"
