'He actually wanted to ask something else. Shouldn't he be the *only* one dining with Ming Lingyi here? Why were there all these other random people?'
'Are those people important?'
Hearing the now deep and cold tone of his voice, Ming Lingyi seemed to finally realize that the man across from her was in a bad mood.
"Huh? You arrived so late, how could you possibly be the first?" Ming Lingyi's eyes widened, her confusion plain to see in the moonlight.
Li Yun: "..."
'She had a point.'
But his gaze remained dark, and a wave of inexplicable irritation washed over him.
Li Yun wasn't one to deny himself. He acted faster than he could think, pulling the unsuspecting woman into his arms with a single motion.
