What Shirley Thorne had said was that she met Katherine Kane while out for a drink. Any normal person, even if they suspected it was at a bar, would at least ask something like, "Was it at a bar?"
Instead of just blurting it out like Meredith Rowan did.
"You're right."
Ethan Grant poured her a glass of water to calm her down. "Don't just stand there," he said. "Let's discuss our next steps."
Shirley Thorne accepted the glass with a wide grin. She took a sip, her fingers accidentally brushing against the back of his hand. A pleasant tingle went through her.
'Uh...'
'Wow, the great tycoon's hands are so smooth. I want to feel them!'
"I'm guessing Meredith Rowan has a plan for this trip to Pyralia. She's probably using Katherine Kane."
Ethan Grant, unaware that the woman beside him had zoned out again, continued thinking aloud. He brainstormed, quickly listing several possibilities.
