Lin Yun paid no mind to the matter of the Monk and Daoist. It wasn't that he was cold-blooded, but after what those two had done, he had no idea how he was supposed to face the Second Commander.
His own injuries had fully healed, and Xi Zijin had woken up as well. Aside from some lingering weakness, she was otherwise fine.
He checked on Xi Zijin in her room almost every day. After a few days of recuperation, she was able to get out of bed and walk.
He accompanied Xi Zijin to a stone bench in the courtyard. As they sat, Lin Yun said faintly, "It's been almost half a year since we came here. It's time to bring things to a close."
Hearing this, Xi Zijin replied softly and gave a slight nod.
He sat with Xi Zijin for a while longer, but he had other matters to attend to. After seeing her back to her room to rest, Lin Yun left the courtyard alone and headed for the Martial Arts Training Ground behind the Central Square.
