Grey felt like his entire body had been struck by a mountain.

Pain ripped through him hard enough to make his vision flash white, but Grey still forced his body through a flip in the air, gritting his teeth as he landed hard enough for both feet to skid several meters across the stone.

The Holy Energy surrounding it was simply so dense that The Virtueless hadn't managed to cut through at all, and the instant Grey's attack collided with that wall of power, the backlash had ripped through him instead.
