Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Robin

Faen's fingers gently traced the names of the magic spells written across the parchment.

His gaze lingered on the thin sheet for a long time.

Unconsciously, his fingertip brushed over the line that read "Ripples of the Past," feeling the faint indentations left by the divine script.

Alfia's three spells were like brands burned into his soul—indelible marks he could never erase.

A faint, bitter smile curved at his lips.

So this… was what people called an unreachable light.

Because she had been beyond his grasp—because he had watched her walk toward destruction while being utterly powerless—his longing and unwillingness had carved themselves so deeply into his heart that they had taken root.

And from that seed had bloomed a flower called magic.

He hadn't expected that his near-obsessive attachment to Alfia would become the very source of his power.

Suppressing the complexity of his emotions, Faen lowered his gaze and began calmly analyzing his Skills.

[Descender] – proof of his identity as a soul from another world. Absolute resistance against mental interference.

In a world where gods walked the earth and mind-affecting magic and curses were commonplace, this was an ultimate lifesaving trump card.

[Pioneer] – a solution to his most urgent problem.

He didn't have the luxury of progressing step by step. The One-Eyed Black Dragon did not leave him much time.

This Skill was his tool to chase time itself—his guarantee that he would not end up as a helpless spectator to fate.

Finally—

[The Abyss That Gazes Back].

Faen's brows furrowed slightly as he examined the permanently active passive Skill.

A faint suspicion formed in his mind.

Not all Skills were blessings.

Alfia's cursed talent had also manifested as a Skill—granting her immense power while simultaneously accelerating her decline like a parasite clinging to bone.

His third Skill might be the same.

A double-edged blade.

Yes, it promised tremendous gains.

But phrases like "attracting the Dungeon's malice and curiosity" and "triggering the manifestation of special monsters" signaled danger far beyond normal circumstances.

From the very beginning, his path would not be smooth.

After a moment of thought, Faen carefully folded the parchment and tucked it into his clothing.

Then his eyes fell upon the long-dormant system panel.

At its center, a pink-and-blue orb resembling a dreamlike nebula rotated slowly, radiating an alluring glow.

That was the [Entwined Fate].

Fourteen years of waiting—for this moment.

Faen extended a finger.

It paused just before touching the orb.

He took a deep breath.

Then, with near-reverent resolve, he pressed down.

The orb shattered instantly, dissolving into countless brilliant particles that vanished into the system interface.

Above, a shooting star streaked across the virtual sky.

As it traveled, its color shifted dramatically—

From blue…

To radiant purple…

And finally—

In a burst of dazzling brilliance—

To gold.

The color of highest rarity.

"Wah—! W-What's happening?!"

Back in reality, a massive golden magic circle suddenly expanded across the cabin floor without warning.

Complex patterns glowed and shimmered, bathing the entire room in magnificent golden light.

The sudden spectacle startled Furina so badly she jumped straight into the air.

"It's fine."

Faen's voice was steady.

But the way his blue eyes were locked onto the center of the magic circle, barely blinking—betrayed the storm of anticipation within him.

"It's just… a perfect pull."

Who would it be?

Who would answer his call and cross the boundary between worlds?

As the golden light intensified, a faint, ethereal melody began to echo around them.

It was not a sound of this world.

Pure. Melodic. Like a hymn drifting from the distant stars—possessing a strange power to soothe the heart.

When the brilliance reached its peak and slowly receded—

A young woman stood at the center of the magic circle.

She wore an elegant grayish-violet dress, the skirt shorter in front and flowing long in the back like blossoming petals.

Soft lavender curls cascaded down her back, with a few strands resting gently against her chest.

Her eyes were a clear lake-green, serene and luminous like a forest pond.

For a fleeting moment, they held the faint confusion of someone who had just arrived in another world.

Faen's heart skipped violently.

That iconic hair color. That angelic face. And that voice capable of echoing across universe—

The superstar who had shone brightest upon the grand stage of Penacony.

The singer of the galaxy—

Robin.

*(Note: Robin is a 5 Star support character from HSR, she can apply damage boost through melody.)

The confusion in her eyes lasted only a second before clarity returned.

The system had already transmitted to her the basic information about this world and the reason for her summoning.

She lifted her gaze, scanning briefly over Furina and Faen before settling on Faen.

Then she gracefully lifted her skirt and performed a flawless curtsy.

Every movement was elegant and refined, radiating trained poise and nobility.

"Pleased to meet you. I am Robin. Thank you for summoning me. I look forward to working with you."

Her voice was every bit as beautiful as the song that had preceded her arrival.

"Welcome, Miss Robin."

Faen struggled to suppress the grin threatening to split his face in two.

He tried to appear composed.

But the excitement blazing in his blue eyes was impossible to conceal.

This was Robin—the top idol who conquered the cosmos with her voice.

Who would have imagined that his first official summon would bring forth someone of this caliber?

"Ahem!"

Beside him, Furina cleared her throat, unwilling to be overshadowed.

She straightened proudly, assuming her divine bearing.

"Greetings, Robin. I am Furina, the goddess who governs Water and Justice in this world."

She emphasized the word goddess just a little.

"Oh? A goddess?"

Robin displayed just the right amount of surprise before smiling warmly and offering another respectful curtsy.

Her reaction was impeccable—respectful without being excessive.

"Please forgive my earlier oversight."

"Ah—no, no, you don't have to be so formal! From now on we're family, so there's no need to be so polite!"

Seeing Robin respond so perfectly only made Furina flustered instead.

She hurried forward and gently caught Robin's hands before she could bow again, her earlier grandeur melting away into embarrassed sincerity.

And just like that—

A new member joined their Familia.
