Ethan reread the system notification several times, his eyes carefully scanning every line.

A boss room where only a single person could enter, and from which one could only emerge victorious or dead.

Dangerous, no doubt. But with the Blood Emperor's ring, he felt confident.

His gaze swept across the chamber and settled on an orc corpse sprawled across the cold stone floor. Judging by the sheer size of the bones, likely a warlord.

He understood at once what had happened in this place.

The abandoned mine had probably served, at first, as a refuge for some necromancer who had later moved on or had died.

The orcs must have stumbled upon the place shortly after, and when their leader charged into this very chamber and lost the duel, they had been left trapped in an eternal wait for the return of their leader.

Since orc life expectancy wasn't particularly long, this couldn't have occurred more than twenty or thirty years ago.
