Connor was a great help making me realise that. Out of custom, I flirted a bit with him, but this time none of the excitement was there to actually want to take it further or talk him into going somewhere else so I could f*ck him. He reminded me of her throughout the night. Even when I said I wasn't feeling right because I was holding back wanting to go beat the sh*t out of that Mason guy while he cheated on Miss Burry, I didn't even care about Connor's worry. Not even his presence there mattered to me.
Leaving while paying their full bill was my way of getting Miss Burry out of the hassle of providing for that bunch of as*holes. Connor being her brother was an exception, since it looked like he didn't know what John and Mason had with his sister. That's what I want to believe. Either way, I wouldn't just let them take advantage of her—of my—my Miss Burry.
