Chapter 77 - you re,Mine to Keep

Bujhechi. Ebar ami strong tone, same You're

The words didn't fade.

They lingered.

Like a shadow crawling inside Aria's mind.

"The moment she remembers who she really is—

She will come back to me."

Her breath came out uneven.

Something about that voice—

It didn't feel distant.

It felt close.

Too close.

"Aria."

Rowan's voice cut through the silence.

Sharp.

Grounding.

Her eyes snapped toward him.

He was still there.

Exactly where he had been.

Watching.

Always watching.

Like he never blinked.

Like he never looked away.

Her fingers curled tightly into the bedsheet.

"I… heard something," she whispered.

Rowan didn't move.

"What did you hear?"

His voice was calm—

But there was something underneath.

Something dangerous.

Aria hesitated.

Her heartbeat quickened.

"Someone… was talking to me."

Silence.

Heavy.

Rowan's gaze darkened slightly.

"And?" he asked.

Aria swallowed.

"He said… I would go back to him."

The air in the room changed.

Instantly.

Something cold settled in.

Rowan didn't speak.

Didn't react.

But his eyes—

They sharpened.

Like a predator sensing a threat.

"No," he said.

Just one word.

Flat.

Final.

Aria frowned slightly.

"What do you mean, no?"

Rowan stepped forward.

Slow.

Controlled.

"You're not going anywhere."

Her breath caught.

The way he said it—

It wasn't reassurance.

It was possession.

Aria shook her head weakly.

"I don't even know who I am…"

Her voice cracked.

"How can you be so sure?"

Rowan stopped beside her bed.

Close enough to cage her in without touching.

"Because I decide what stays."

His eyes locked onto hers.

"And what leaves."

A chill ran through her.

That wasn't normal.

That wasn't love.

That was control.

"No…" Aria whispered.

Something inside her pushed back.

A feeling she couldn't explain.

"I don't belong to you."

The moment the words left her lips—

Everything changed.

The air.

The silence.

Him.

Rowan moved.

Fast.

His hand shot out, gripping her wrist.

Firm.

Unyielding.

Aria gasped softly.

"You don't remember," he said quietly.

Too quietly.

"And that's the only reason you're saying that."

His grip tightened—just enough to remind her.

She couldn't pull away.

Her heart pounded wildly.

"Then tell me!" she demanded, fear and frustration mixing together.

"Tell me who I was!"

"Tell me why I would run from you!"

Her voice echoed slightly in the room.

Desperate.

Breaking.

For a second—

Something flickered across Rowan's face.

Something dangerous.

Something close to anger.

"You ran," he said slowly.

Each word deliberate.

"Because you thought you could escape me."

Aria's eyes widened.

"N-no…"

Her head shook weakly.

"I wouldn't—"

"You did."

His voice cut her off.

Cold.

Absolute.

Her breathing became uneven.

A sharp pain suddenly pierced through her head.

She winced.

Memories—

No.

Not memories.

Fragments.

A door slamming.

Footsteps.

Running.

A voice—

Not Rowan's.

"Faster, Aria!"

Her eyes widened in fear.

"I… I remember something…"

Rowan's grip tightened instantly.

"What did you see?"

His voice dropped lower.

Dangerous.

Aria's chest rose and fell rapidly.

"I was… running…"

Her voice trembled.

"And someone was chasing me—"

Silence.

A deadly kind of silence.

Rowan didn't move.

Didn't breathe.

For a second—

He looked terrifying.

Then suddenly—

He let go.

Stepping back.

His face returned to that cold, controlled mask.

"You're imagining things."

Aria stared at him.

"No… it felt real—"

"It wasn't."

His voice was sharp now.

Final.

No room for argument.

Tears burned in her eyes.

"Why won't you tell me the truth?!"

Her voice broke.

"I'm scared…"

That—

Made him pause.

Just for a second.

Rowan looked at her.

Really looked at her.

And something shifted.

Barely.

But enough.

Then he stepped closer again.

Slowly.

This time—

His hand lifted to her face.

Gentle.

Too gentle for someone like him.

His thumb brushed lightly against her cheek.

Wiping away a tear she didn't realize had fallen.

"You don't need the truth," he said softly.

His voice—low, dangerous, almost… intimate.

"You only need me."

Aria's breath hitched.

Because that softness—

Felt more terrifying than his anger.

Before she could respond—

The door opened.

A nurse stepped in.

"Sir, the discharge is ready."

The moment broke.

Completely.

Rowan pulled his hand away.

Like nothing had happened.

"Good," he said.

Then—

He looked back at Aria.

"You're coming home."

Not a question.

A decision.

Aria stared at him.

Her heart still racing.

Her mind still spinning.

Home.

With him.

A man she didn't remember.

A man she might have tried to escape.

A man who looked at her like—

She was his.

And somewhere deep inside—

That same voice echoed again.

"Don't trust him…"

Aria's fingers curled slightly.

Fear crept into her chest.

Because now—

She didn't know which was worse.

The man who claimed her—

Or the one waiting for her.
