I woke up to the sound of the alarm, I stretched, clearly tired by my hunting nightmares, I quickly took a shower and got ready for the day.
Until now, I can't process what Drew meant by " the same position." I can't celebrate this little success yet; I have to figure out if it was true.
I went downstairs, and Mom was there with hot chocolate in her hands. " I think that is supposed to be mine, Mom." I said playfully," Na, a, ah, it's mine, make yours yourself", with that she left, giggling on the way.
I go out to get some fresh air. After walking around the neighbourhood, I take my bag and go to school.
I open the classroom door and turn around to see Eric and Lucas both sitting in my seat. We stare at each other for a moment, "sooo am I interpreting anything?" Not waiting for their answer, I drop my bag and go to the library.
Just then, Mom called, and I frowned. What happened? I asked myself and answered," Mom?" "Masha, your father and twin sister are coming home." She almost squicked
I stood up, shocked, "They are?" A mixture of emotions surged through me as tears stung the backs of my eyes.
I missed them so much." I am coming, Mom. I'll be on my way."This was unexpected.
Dad is a director and a ceo and had to leave for the UK. My twin sister Scarlet went with him when we were only 5.
I went back to the classroom to get my bag, and there he was again. Gosh, he makes me shiver. A pair of dark eyes watched me.
With a novel in hand, "wait what!" "Did you go through my bag?" I asked, clearly annoyed. "Yes, I did, it seems like a very interesting book." "You have a bad taste, I must say," and how is that your business?" I retorted and reached out to grab it, but he raised it high.
He chuckled darkly, and for the first time, I saw Eric: "I could do with some help here." Just then, Lucas grabbed my things and gave them to me. I glare at him and turn towards Eric, "Say hi to Moon for me, okay?" Tell her that I'm going to run some errands." Before I smile at him and leave.
I arrived home just as Mom was setting the last dish on the table. When we finished with the chores, Mom went to buy champagne for herself. I was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch.
I look up blinking, and a girl who looked exactly like me, " Scarlet?" I sit up and give her a squeezed hug, " I missed you so much. BTW, where is dad?" She smiled, " Talking to Mom."
We all sat around the table after he, Dad, nearly choked me to death from his hug. Dad ate like an animal while Mom kept encouraging him to eat more. Both Scarlet and I rolled our eyes at this exchange.
"Scarlet, Dad, are you guys going back?" I asked, and Dad looks at me with sad eyes, " I wish I could, but Scarlet will, and she will soon be transferred to your school. Look out for your younger sister, okay." Both my mom and I jumped in excitement.
After lunch, I went upstairs with Scarlet, " Masha, your room is so dark and why red wine and not bright colours? Girl, your room needs a touch-up," I roll my eyes and take her to one of the guest rooms, the one with the best view.
I start to help her unpack, and she smiles beautifully and hugs me again," I used to be so lonely, I missed you, and I didn't use to trust anyone with my secrets, not even dad." She nuzzled against my back.
I turn around and wipe a tear from her cheek, " I don't know, but please hope you don't draw attention tomorrow, it's just that your beauty will attract boys and make girls jealous or worse, use you as a social status." She laughs, "That's just the same as in my previous school."
Then we talk and talk until late in the evening, mom and dad went on a date," let them have fun!" Scarlet said.
I went to a store while Scarlet was having a shower to buy a bucket of ice cream for us. Going through the shelves, I bumped into a guy and fell hard on my butt. I stood up, grumbling and was about to shout at him, then I saw that it was Lucas.
He looked at me, smirking with amusement in his eyes, "What are you here so late?" "None of your business," does he think I'm a weakling?
I paid for the ice cream and left. I turned a corner and some guys surrounded me, they started saying filthy words and tried to touch me, I froze and delivered a punch to the guy and hit another with my knee, I was in full compact mode and turned around to hit the person behind me but it was Lucas and he caught my hand just in time, making me crash into his chest and my glasses to fly away, looks like the rest run away but then Lucas was staring at me stunned then I realised that I don't have my glasses, and I scrumbled to my feet, put on my glasses and ran as fast as I can.
Reaching home, I shut the door behind me and chugged a glass of water. Scarlet looked at me, bewildered, "Are you okay, Masha..." "Yeah, and I got you the caramel flavour and chocolate for myself." I walked over, and that's when I realised that she dyed her hair blonde and manicured her nails as well.
"Wow, Scarlet, but why?" " I liked it, and I look less dull than before." I sigh, and we both sit in front of the TV and dig in, eating spoonfuls, which gives me a brain freeze.
After watching a show, we got worried and called Mom. They said they were staying at a hotel, so I hung up.
And we both sleep in the big bedroom, hugging each other," good night pudding," as we drift off to sleep.

"Beautiful, stunning... Hurry up, Scarlet, we'd better not be late," she rolled her eyes," I think we have a second mom here." We both got ready and went to school.
I stepped into the hall and went straight to class. I sighed, hearing the gasps from outside, hope pudding doesn't involve me in this.
"Masha, hi bestie, finally found you," " Moon, sorry, I think you know why I wasn't there." I stood up to hug her, and we started filling each other with stories.
"Whoa, that's crazy, Lucas actually smiled? And of all people, at you?!" I rolled my eyes," Of all I have been telling you, you are interested in that?"
"Masha, I never knew you were a chatterbox." Eric said, "Well, I talk, it's just that I don't talk to you."
Soon classes began, and the teacher introduced Scarlet as the new transfer," she's so fine," Eric said, and I almost stomped him in the leg.
Then Scarlet noticed me, and she smiled, waving at me. Every head in the class turned to look at me. In my mind, I was so ready to kill Scarlet.
I looked at Eric, and everyone thought she waved at him, at this he turned beet red and stammered, " Hi, " before turning away. That's... Strange.
Eric kept asking me if we are related, cuz even a blind man can see the similarities. In the end, I chose to endure it and told him the truth.
During break, Scarlet barely had rest, and when she finally joined us, Moon told her all the things she had missed. Moon had been my bestie since I started kindergarten, and both she and Scarlet knew each other well.
They started talking about boys, and in the meantime slipped away towards the library. Later on today, there will be an announcement for both the election and the gifting of the high scorers.
Both Drew and Eric will make good leaders, and Moon, plus her so-called crush Alex, have excellent, friendly and encouraging tones. A girl in the front called Luna might make a good secretary for her informative and strategic nature, and that's how the student council should be.
" Masha might do..." I peek over to see Drew, Eric, Alex, Lucas, and some other students I can't recognise, all disguising things...
