The night had come to an end. It had a satisfying touch of beast people, cubs and adults paying respect to Mira while the cubs flicked around her with cheer. Some that she knew from the lion clan, some that she was yet to meet herself, yet their eyes all gleamed with excitement and wonder at the woman who bore the true born cheetah cubs.
Respect. Mira felt it with every interaction she had with the beast people. She felt the love too, it would be hard to remember that these people once scorned her. Once hated her and referred to her as the demon of the forest.
They did not show any form or aggression now. Nor did anyone refer to her impolitely. Not once did she hear that nickname from them. And not once did she need to feel anxiety by being along so many beasts from other tribes.
