The cave room went silent.
The silence gave Mira time to breathe, heavy, breathy pants as she hoped what she said got to them.
There was no way on earth would she slow them to fall into Hye Yang's schemes and be pushed to the side. She would kneel and grovel if she had to because Mira did not want to imagine a life with her sister in her position.
Without any real status, Hye Yang was daring, now imagine how much more evil she would be if she possessed power. The beast world would not be ready for that. Her sister would not even hide her real nature under a facade any longer.
And what would happen to my children? Mira questioned in her mind. They were the first true borns given to two of the clan rulers, Hye Yang may order them cast out or worse, killed. Especially if she too bore them children.
Mira shook the thought out of her mind. She did not even want to imagine her sister laying with any of her husbands, they belonged to her and she would fight for them.
