JASMINE
The morning light came through the I woke up slowly, resting against Stephan's chest.
His arm was wrapped around my waist. His skin felt warm and smooth under my cheek, smelling faintly of the body wash he used during his shower last night.
For a short moment, everything felt quiet and safe. There was only the steady movement of his chest as he breathed and the peaceful feeling of being in his arms.
Stephan moved a little beside me, and his eyes opened. When he saw me looking at him, a slow, sleepy smile appeared on his face. He pulled me a little closer, sliding his hand up my back in a gentle way.
"You look pretty," he said softly, his voice thick with sleep. He used his fingers to move a piece of hair away from my face, placing it behind my ear carefully.
My heart felt full because of his kind words. I reached up and touched the line of his jaw, feeling the light stubble under my fingers.
