"Reliving the path Roxy once walked?" Dan Feng thought to himself. He felt Roxy's suggestion was actually quite good.
"No problem. It's a perfect chance to see the so-called Demon Continent for myself."
Dan Feng had read about the Demon Continent's fearsome reputation in various books—it was known as the most dangerous continent in the world. Pretty much every bad thing could happen there.
Things like bandits, assassinations, human trafficking—these were commonplace on the Demon Continent. Moreover, the magic beasts there were basically all B-rank or higher. If there were C-rank magic beasts, they were almost certainly in swarms.
"Then it's settled. We can set off tomorrow morning," Roxy said slowly. She glanced out the window and noticed the sky was gradually darkening. Then she slowly climbed off Dan Feng's bed.
"Come on, Dan Feng. The landlady should have dinner ready by now. Let's head down together," Roxy said to Dan Feng. She took his hand and prepared to head outside.
Following the pull of Roxy's hand, Dan Feng stood up and walked downstairs with her.
When the two reached the first floor, they saw Galdaruf and Mayibeia who had just returned. It looked like they hadn't been back long.
Since their house had already started renovations, the two of them—filled with anticipation—had spent time at the mansion. Sometimes they helped out, and if they saw anything they didn't like, they could still make last-minute changes to the plan.
Right now, they were sitting at the dining table, chatting and joking with some adventurers.
Well—mostly Mayibeia was the one talking. Galdaruf simply listened quietly to their conversation.
Mayibeia was excitedly chatting with several female adventurers. She told them about her pregnancy and how they had already bought a house in Millishion.
They were naturally aware of Mayibeia and Galdaruf's relationship, so they felt a wave of envy toward her.
They had once searched for many lovers, yet most of those relationships had failed to last.
Either personality differences made them incompatible, or the other party's attention was too scattered and they couldn't stay devoted.
Although the Millis Church advocated monogamy, for those who chose the adventurer life, they often did not follow that doctrine.
When Dan Feng and Roxy came down from upstairs, Mayibeia's eyes suddenly lit up as if she had spotted something exciting.
Without hesitation, she quickly stood up and walked lightly toward Roxy.
However, at that moment, the landlady came out from the back kitchen carrying food.
She immediately noticed Mayibeia hurrying over and promptly scolded, "Mayibeia, slow down! You're pregnant—don't rush like that. Be careful not to fall!" The landlady's words carried the concern and reminder of someone who had been through it before.
Hearing the landlady's scolding, Mayibeia stumbled slightly forward and nearly lost her balance.
But she quickly steadied herself, then playfully stuck her tongue out at the landlady and replied, "I know, landlady!"
Although she was a demon race and had a relatively strong constitution, it was still better to be careful.
Afterward, under Roxy's puzzled gaze, Mayibeia pulled her to sit down at a nearby seat.
Once seated, Mayibeia immediately began chattering nonstop about better renovation styles and where the baby would live after being born.
Talking about these things with people who didn't have partners seemed a bit boring. In comparison, chatting with Roxy—who also had a lover—was far more suitable.
Meanwhile, Dan Feng went into the back kitchen to help the landlady carry out tonight's food, sparing her a few extra trips.
The landlady was nearly past middle age, yet her stamina remained excellent. She didn't exercise on purpose—her strength simply came from years of constant work.
"Mayibeia, Roxy—dinner's ready. Come eat," the landlady called out once all the food was served. Dan Feng and Galdaruf had already taken their seats.
During dinner, Dan Feng casually mentioned to everyone that he and Roxy would be heading to the Demon Continent.
Aside from the landlady, neither Mayibeia nor Galdaruf showed any exaggerated reaction.
They knew Dan Feng and Roxy's current strength well—nothing on the Demon Continent would pose any real danger to the two of them.
The landlady still reminded them to be careful. That was all she could do. Her husband had been an adventurer, but he had unfortunately died during a commission long ago, leaving her to raise their daughter alone.
She understood very well how dangerous the adventurer profession could be, but beyond reminding them, there was little else she could do.
"Don't worry, landlady. We learned a lot while we were on the Central Continent. There won't be any problems," Roxy said confidently. As long as Dan Feng was with her, everything would be fine!
Dan Feng also nodded in agreement with what Roxy said.
"If you pass through Rikaris Town, please say hello to the folks at Sheep's Hoof Inn for me~" Mayibeia said to Roxy and Dan Feng.
"Got it. I'll remember," Roxy replied, committing Mayibeia's request to heart.
...
The next morning, Dan Feng and Roxy got up early and headed toward the city gate in the direction of the Great Forest.
After smoothly exiting the city, the two quickly reached a deserted area. Dan Feng immediately switched to his Vidyadhara form, picked Roxy up in his arms, and soared into the sky.
In the blink of an eye, Dan Feng and Roxy's figures vanished from the spot.
They were heading toward Wind Port on the Demon Continent. The route would pass over Zant Port on the Millis Continent, so Dan Feng raised their flight altitude high enough that the land below was no longer visible.
The Great Forest area was teeming with bird-type magic beasts, so Dan Feng used Cloud Chant Technique while flying to clear out any magic beasts along their path.
If anyone had been below, they would have witnessed a strange scene—every so often, magic beasts would plummet from the sky.
The Great Forest was currently in rainy season, so there were an enormous number of magic beasts on the ground. As soon as a bird-type magic beast fell, it would immediately be swarmed and fought over by a pack of beasts.
In this way, Dan Feng carried Roxy and smoothly flew out over the sea.
This was the stretch of ocean between Zant Port and Wind Port. They didn't encounter any blue-ringed octopus-like magic beasts like the one they had seen from the ship before.
Dan Feng guessed that the Lingus Sea must be ruled by many powerful sea magic beasts. For example, the sea between the eastern port and western port had likely been dominated by that blue-ringed octopus.
Before long, a continent appeared in Dan Feng's view.
The land seemed to be made entirely of reddish soil, giving it the appearance of a barren wasteland.
However, on that red earth stood something resembling a port. It looked far inferior to the ports on the Millis Continent.
This was the only port on the Demon Continent that had contact with other continents—Wind Port.
