"How is she?"
Enzo's deep voice echoed through the room as he watched the pack doctor finish packing away her tools after examining the unconscious Arabella.
The doctor straightened and offered a respectful bow.
"She is doing well, Your Majesty. She only needs more rest, and she will be fine."
Enzo's jaw tightened.
"That is what you said yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that," he snapped, his voice rising slightly. "Yet she is still asleep. Tell me, when exactly will she wake up?"
The pack doctor remained calm despite the king's obvious frustration.
"Your Majesty, as I explained before, her body has been through a great deal. She is exhausted and requires time to recover. More importantly..." he paused and gently lifted Arabella's hand. "I believe her wolf is trying to awaken."
Enzo's gaze followed hers.
"Look closely."
The doctor pointed toward the scar that had once stretched across Arabella's arm.
"The wound is fading."
Enzo frowned.
