Chapter 189 - Chapter 189: Fierce Battle, The Eruption of Mewtwo

A terrifying Hyper Beam came head-on, its power seemingly capable of devouring everything. Seeing such overwhelming force, Beedrill and Scizor quickly moved to block Mewtwo's attack before immediately dodging aside.

With a look of disdain, Mewtwo slowly raised its right hand. Its eyes glowed with a deep blue light as it unleashed Psychic, effortlessly halting the powerful Hyper Beam midair. It compressed and ground the energy against itself, until the beam violently exploded on its own, vanishing into nothing right before Mewtwo.

(How is that possible?!)

Crimson Gyarados stared at Mewtwo in disbelief, unable to accept that the destructive power it was so proud of appeared so insignificant and pitiful in Mewtwo's hands.

For a moment, Crimson Gyarados fell into dejection, but the other Pokémon did not ease their assault.

Blazing flames, razor-sharp air blades, and piercing stone blades surged toward Mewtwo from three directions.

Mewtwo raised its hand, firing two Aura Sphere to knock away the charging Beedrill and Scizor. It then casually used Teleport, vanishing from its spot and perfectly avoiding the three incoming attacks.

"Since that's the case, then let's fight to our heart's content!"

Red lowered the brim of his hat. His exposed left eye gradually turned crimson as three distinct energies surged from his body.

Psychic power, Aura abilities, and Power of Viridian—these three special forces enveloped his six Pokémon, granting them powerful enhancements.

Psychic power boosted their reaction speed, allowing them to better evade attacks and strike vital points.

Aura abilities strengthened their physical resilience and perception, enhancing both attack power and target tracking.

Power of Viridian granted astonishing stamina recovery, enabling them to endure intense battles while gradually healing their injuries.

But the enhancements didn't stop there. Under Mewtwo's astonished gaze, Red's Aura Resonance erupted completely. The overwhelming battle aura pushed each Pokémon's combat state beyond its limits, reaching a peak they could never normally achieve.

(What an incredible aura… This boy is far from ordinary. Mew… just how many things about you are still beyond my understanding…?)

Mewtwo's shocked gaze locked onto Red, unable to believe that this seemingly "ordinary" boy possessed such immense presence.

With the boost of Power of Viridian, Crimson Gyarados, which had been exhausted, gradually recovered and returned to peak condition.

Noticing Mewtwo's displeased gaze, Red shrugged helplessly and joked,

"Mewtwo, don't blame me for using every trick I have. With your strength, you're not someone who can be defeated easily. I'm just going all out to enjoy this battle with you!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the impatient Crimson Gyarados rushed forward, opening its massive jaws and using Crunch.

Mewtwo initially intended to use Teleport, but after glancing at the restraining armor on its body, it seemed to make a decision. It stopped and took the Crunch head-on.

Although the restraining armor suppressed Mewtwo's psychic power, under the external force of Crimson Gyarados, it became fragile.

"Everyone, be careful! If that restraining armor breaks, Mewtwo's strength will reach an unprecedented level!" Red shouted cautiously, warning his six Pokémon to stay alert.

Crack—

The restraining armor on Mewtwo shattered completely, breaking into fragments that fell to the ground, only to be annihilated midair by Mewtwo's telekinesis.

Its true form was revealed—humanoid yet feline in appearance, its body entirely silver-white, with purple eyes, tail, and abdomen. A neural bundle extended from the center of its back to the back of its neck, and its fingers were composed of three spherical segments. This was Mewtwo's true appearance.

The Pokémon stared at Mewtwo curiously. While they could vaguely sense Mew's aura, Mewtwo's presence was far more complex, like an artificial being fused from multiple genes.

With the armor gone, Mewtwo's terrifying aura fully erupted. The sheer pressure alone created shockwaves that forced back Beedrill and Scizor as they attempted to charge in.

Mewtwo used Psychic again. Its glowing blue eyes locked onto Crimson Gyarados. Something astonishing happened—despite being immune to psychic attacks before, Crimson Gyarados was now completely controlled, lifted effortlessly by Mewtwo and slammed repeatedly into the ground.

This humiliating situation enraged Crimson Gyarados, which desperately struggled to break free.

"As expected… type advantages don't mean much in the face of overwhelming strength. They're just reference data at best," Red muttered, quickly ordering the other Pokémon to assist.

A purple-gold dragon aura enveloped Charizard's body, forming a massive energy dragon. In an instant, it surged toward Mewtwo, opening its jaws to devour it whole.

With a piercing eagle cry, Pidgeot sped toward Mewtwo from behind, golden flames covering its body as it unleashed Brave Bird.

The sudden pincer attack seemed to surprise Mewtwo. It looked at the two Pokémon in disbelief, unable to comprehend their complete lack of fear.

All the Pokémon Mewtwo had encountered before trembled in fear of its overwhelming power. That had fostered a deep sense of loneliness within it—one that did not belong to this world.

That loneliness gradually consumed Mewtwo's heart, distorting its thoughts and turning into intense hatred for the world.

(Why do I even exist in this world, Mew?!)

Hatred burned fiercely in Mewtwo's eyes.

But after a brief adjustment, Mewtwo raised both hands and countered with Psychic.

The swift Pidgeot was suddenly frozen midair, unable to move. It was then forcibly turned around and sent flying toward Charizard, about to collide with it.

Seeing Pidgeot lose control, the enraged Charizard unleashed all its power, letting out a deafening roar.

The intimidating roar caused Mewtwo to falter for half a second. That brief, fleeting moment allowed Pidgeot to seize the opportunity. With a powerful flap and a sharp cry, it broke free from Mewtwo's control.

Taking advantage, Charizard slammed into Mewtwo with a fierce Dragon Rush, forcing it to step back.

Pidgeot, still wrapped in golden flames, followed up with another Brave Bird, crashing into Mewtwo and pushing it back several more steps.

But that wasn't all the damage Mewtwo would take.

Seeing Mewtwo slightly worn down, Beedrill raised its arms. Countless sharp missiles split from its twin stingers, firing Pin Missile with precision. The barrage struck Mewtwo's body, the stinging pain making it frown in irritation.

Scizor seized the opportunity, using Agility to instantly appear before Mewtwo. Its glowing silver claws slashed toward Mewtwo's head with Metal Claw.

Mewtwo glared angrily at the Scizor that dared to trample its dignity. With brute force, it grabbed Scizor's claw with one hand, then unleashed a close-range Psyblade from its left arm, sending Scizor flying backward from the sheer impact.
