Dominic listened to her intently, his mind racing with questions. "How did they know you told them only half the truth?" he asked, doubts rising in his heart. "Did you tell anyone about the meeting?"
"No…" Mila replied instantly. "I didn't tell anyone. The woman said they got confirmation from someone who had attended the meeting."
Dominic instantly remembered what Lucas had told him.
Jiang had been missing for days.
Dominic had already launched a search operation, but there was still no news of him. He wondered if Jiang had been forced to leak the information.
"There were only four of us," Mila continued. "You wouldn't say anything. I didn't tell anyone. That leaves Mr. Lee or his son."
Dominic went still. He already had his answer.
"Dominic," Mila grabbed his hand, giving him a pleading look. "Lara is in danger. Please do something. Save her."
The stiffness in his features softened a bit. Seeing her terrified and helpless hit him harder than anything else.
