Chapter 10 - Ten: Elegy of Loss

There are moments…

when sorrow does not announce itself,

but quietly spreads… until it consumes everything.

Not every collapse is loud,

some happen in complete silence,

when something inside… stops,

and never returns the same.

In this chapter…

you will find no comfort,

no words to ease the pain,

only the trace…

of something broken beyond repair.

Between memory… and reality,

between what once was… and what is no more,

a person stands at the edge of himself…

unable to return… and unable to fall.

Chapter Ten: Elegy of Loss

On the third day after Lyra's death…

Soren was sitting in that garden,

the same place they used to go together…

but today, it was different,

empty… just like his heart.

He looked around, as if every corner still carried her shadow,

and whispered in a broken voice only he could hear:

When I heard the news of your death… I didn't believe it.

I slapped myself again and again… thinking it was a lie.

But when I saw the truth with my own eyes…

they weren't tears…

it was my soul… bleeding.

He lowered his head,

closing his eyes as if the pain had become unbearable:

I passed my judgment…

and executed myself… with your memory.

His tears fell without permission,

and he felt as if countless knives were piercing his chest,

tearing his heart apart mercilessly.

He could no longer bear the place…

He saw her everywhere,

in every corner,

in every breeze.

He slowly stood up… and left.

His steps led him… to where she rests.

To her grave.

He stood before it,

silent… unable even to cry.

Then he took out the violin…

Her favorite violin.

The same one she used to play their first melody,

their first confession… unspoken in words.

But today…

it was not a melody of love.

It was… an elegy.

He raised the violin with trembling hands,

placed it on his shoulder…

and began to play.

I saw the dream fading… within my eyes

And the world became a prison… of my sorrows

Ten years have passed… like mere seconds

Only for death… to steal them in a moment…

I became a stranger… wandering through my own corners

And "Lyra" has left… my music and my melodies

A cursed illness… melted the light of her face

And left my heart… asking where my refuge lies…

Damn the memories… that refuse to fade

Damn the promise… that filled me with sorrow

Ten long years… sealed in deprivation

And a lifetime lost… in the blink of an eye…

The scent of death… fills the place

A wallet fell… and time betrayed me

I returned to take it… with a longing heart

Only to find blood… covering the walls…

A message of love… filled with sorrow

Written in your hand… O flower of the garden

"Forgive me, Soren"… it's too late

I was not hungry… I was fading away…

A raging longing… like a flood

A dagger of betrayal… devouring the soul

I cry in silence… among the people

And patience has left… never to return…

"The sky is raining"… that was my excuse

I hid my tears… from the eyes of others

I am a stranger… within my own land

Walking alone… without direction…

At your grave… I stood in despair

Answer me, "Lyra"… was I at fault?

Did I do something… to cause your pain?

But the grave… remained silent like stone…

In every place… I see your shadow

In every star… I see my prison

I close my eyes… to avoid your image

Yet the earth… reflects it back to me…

My heart betrayed… what remained of its strength

My darkness sank… its fangs into me

The blade of my wound… devours existence

And my soul is lost… without any hope…

Why, O time… did you kill my love?

And leave the fire… to burn my path?

Five years of waiting… and five of union

And now I remain… alone without a shadow…

"Soren" has died… and the human has faded

"Shinigami" was born… reaper of time

No blame remains… now that it's too late

This is my elegy… Elegy of Loss…

I will remain in my darkness… while sorrow flows

Gathering what remains… of the ruin

You left, "Lyra"… and the melody turned bitter

And life after you… became an endless age…

The melody ended…

But the echo remained.

He lowered the violin slowly,

his eyes fixed on the grave, as if waiting for an answer… that would never come.

He whispered in a dead voice:

Your shadow passed by me…

and made me cry even more.

My heart is slaughtered…

and my dreams… a massacre.

I am dead…

yet I still breathe.

Why, fate…

why?

Silence filled everything.

No voice…

No answer…

Nothing.

On that day…

it wasn't only Lyra's body that was buried…

Soren was buried with her.
