Chapter 78 - Chapter Seventy-Eight

Meanwhile, in the executive meeting room of Moon Corporation's Lagos branch building, Michael sat with grace in his seat. He wore a custom-made white dress shirt from France, featuring cuffs adorned with luxurious diamonds. His ravishing handsomeness caught the eye.

Michael assumed the role of CEO of Moon Corporation when Edward, the chairman, went on a business trip to China. Seeing that Michael had successfully raised the company's stock by 25% in just a day during his absence, Edward felt confident in Michael's abilities to run the company and happily handed over the reins.

Addressing the branch director, Michael stated, 'Bring me the progress report first thing tomorrow morning.' He stood up from his seat.

The branch director replied, 'Okay, Sir.'

After saying that, Michael left the meeting room. As he descended the stairs, he noticed that it was still lightly raining outside. Upon nearing his car parked by the roadside, he gracefully pressed the remote button to unlock it. Just as he was about to reach the car, he paused and turned his head towards a person standing on the other side of the road.

'Sir Michael...' Robert called out. He appeared to have been waiting for quite some time, as parts of his attire were already damp despite the umbrella he held above his head to shield himself from the rain. 'Sir Michael, how did the meeting go? Are we really going to relocate? Isn't the Lagos State governor benefiting from Moon Corporation? How could he order us to move to a remote area?'

Instead of answering, Michael asked curtly, 'What are you doing here?'

'I brought you this umbrella,' Robert explained, gesturing towards the blue object.

Michael's gaze lingered on the umbrella. 'Did you come solely for this, or are you looking for a one-night stand?'

Robert didn't know whether to cry or laugh. He had brought an umbrella for Michael, and now he received such insulting words in return.

Michael gestured towards his car, already moving to the driver's seat. 'Let's go.'

Robert didn't object and obediently followed. Instead of getting angry at Michael's annoying comment, he hurried in front of him to open the door. 'Sir Michael.'

Michael was about to enter the driver's seat, but upon hearing Robert's words and understanding his intention, he raised an eyebrow. After a brief moment, he released the door handle and moved to the back seat. Robert slid behind the wheel and started the engine.

'Sir Michael, would you like to dine at the hotel or should we go to a luxurious restaurant?' Robert asked.

'Do you know of a place?' Michael enquired.

'Yeah, I know of Golden Restaurant. I've heard that it has been renovated, making it look even more extravagant and lavish than before.'

'You seem to be well-informed about restaurants and hotels,' Michael smirked. After a pause, he added, 'Make a reservation.'

'Okay, Sir,' Robert smiled, taking out his phone from his pocket to make a dinner reservation.
