Broly blinked, and then his eyes lit up with intense anticipation.
Is he finally getting serious?
Now this is getting interesting!
Beerus glanced toward Jiren, his face remaining calm. He even let out a small yawn.
After all, Beerus knew perfectly well that Broly still had another transformation up his sleeve. This Jiren fellow was probably using his true strength now, but even so, it didn't mean he would win.
"Your strength is indeed impressive," Jiren said calmly, looking at Broly with a slight, approving smile. He was finally showing a bit of respect. "But I haven't shown you my true power yet, either."
"Oh? Is that so?" Broly scratched his head and grinned. There wasn't a hint of fear in his eyes, only excitement.
"Now, I've unleashed every bit of my energy!" Jiren landed slowly in front of Broly, his feet slightly apart in a fighting stance. Red flames burned fiercely around him. "Let's start over!"
"Wait a second," Broly suddenly said, holding up a hand to stop Jiren.
"What? Are you scared? Do you want to give up?" Jiren paused, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"Based on the energy levels, I can tell that right now, you have a slight advantage over me in terms of pure power," Broly analyzed seriously, his tone very certain.
Over the years, Broly had fought Goku countless times. He knew how to read energy levels like the back of his hand. He could clearly feel that Jiren's current strength was a cut above his own in his current state.
But Broly wasn't worried.
Broly was a slow starter. In his Legendary Super Saiyan state, the energy he had released so far hadn't reached its peak yet. He needed to keep fighting to let his power grow.
"Are you planning to surrender then?" Jiren asked flatly, his eyes searching Broly's face.
"I'm just getting bored of this fight. I want to finish up so I can go eat something good," Broly said with a straight face, rubbing his stomach.
It seemed that to Broly, eating was much more important than fighting.
Jiren's brow furrowed. He was a bit speechless.
This guy has nothing but food on his mind?
"Kid, didn't you just finish eating? Why are you already thinking about food again?" Belmod couldn't help himself. He jumped out from the side and gave Broly a massive eye-roll, his tone full of annoyance.
"My favorite thing in the world is to eat non-stop. I eat, then I sleep, then I wake up and eat again," Broly said, turning to Belmod with a very serious expression, as if this were something to be proud of.
Belmod: "..."
This guy is exactly like Beerus!
Beerus was also the type to eat and sleep, and he would sleep for decades at a time. They were cut from the same cloth!
Hearing this, Beerus suddenly felt a sense of appreciation for Broly. His tail began to wag even more happily.
I feel like this guy and I have a lot in common!
Maybe I should train him properly and make him my student. He seems a bit dim-witted and simple-minded, so he'd be easy to fool.
It's worth considering! Definitely worth considering! Beerus thought to himself, the idea sounding better the more he thought about it.
"So? Do you think we can settle this quickly with our current energy levels?" Jiren asked, bringing the conversation back to the fight. He sounded a bit impatient.
"That's why I need to transform again," Broly grinned, showing his white teeth with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"You... what did you say?" Jiren's calm expression finally broke. His face shifted slightly, and his pupils shrank in shock.
He has another transformation?
"Don't worry, it'll only take a second," Broly said. He didn't give Jiren time to react before his energy began to surge violently again. It was even more chaotic than before, and the dark green aura almost seemed to turn the entire sky green.
Crackle... crackle...
Dark green lightning began to wrap around Broly's body, popping and snapping with a sharp, ear-piercing sound. The lightning was so intense it seemed to tear the air itself, creating tiny cracks in space.
Legendary Super Saiyan 2! Transformation!
Seeing Broly in this state, Belmod was completely stunned. He stood frozen, unable to say a word for a long time.
He actually has another transformation?
How is that even possible!
Jiren's eyes were also wide, his expression shifting rapidly. He was in total shock and disbelief, and the red flames around him even began to tremble.
The energy this guy is putting out... it's incredible!
Toppo and Dyspo's mouths were twitching. They were terrified, their legs shaking so hard they could barely stand. They never would have guessed that Broly was hiding yet another transformation—one with an energy level that was beyond anything they had ever known!
Bardock raised an eyebrow, his expression grave. This was the first time he had truly felt the terrifying power of a Legendary Super Saiyan up close.
"Alright, we can start now," Broly said, rotating his wrists. He was laughing to himself, looking quite pleased and expectant.
Jiren's expression grew even more serious, and fine beads of sweat broke out on his forehead. He could clearly feel that in terms of pure energy, he was now far below Broly. The power Broly was radiating was so intense it was almost hard to breathe.
"I'm going to attack now. Are you ready?" Broly asked with a smile. He leaned forward slightly, ready to lunge, as the dark green lightning crackled around him.
Jiren didn't say anything. He just clenched his fists and pushed his energy to its absolute limit. His red flames burned even brighter as he took a defensive stance. Jiren knew that the fight ahead would be a battle of life and death.
Broly didn't waste any more time. He became a bolt of dark green lightning and shot toward Jiren so fast he didn't even leave an afterimage.
Jiren didn't dare to relax for a second. He focused every bit of his concentration on the charging Broly, preparing himself for what was sure to be a brutal clash.
Broly didn't even try to dodge. He charged forward like an out-of-control tank, his dark green aura swirling around him.
Jiren snorted, a mocking smile curling on his lips. "You're full of openings!"
Before the words were even out, Jiren slammed a fist into Broly's chest. His fist was glowing with intense red energy, and it let out a roar as it tore through the air. It was clearly a full-power strike.
But Broly acted like he didn't even see it. He didn't dodge or block, letting Jiren's fist slam directly into his chest.
And then... nothing happened.
In the face of such a massive gap in strength, Broly didn't even need any fighting techniques. Jiren's punch, which was powerful enough to shatter a planet, didn't even make Broly flinch.
He hadn't even broken through Broly's defense.
Broly's body only paused for a split second, as if he had been bitten by a mosquito. He then reached out with a massive hand and grabbed Jiren's head like a hawk catching a chick. His fingers gripped tight, pinning Jiren instantly.
The next moment, Broly slammed Jiren's head-first into the ground!
Boom!
The entire Sacred World of the Destruction God shook violently. The ground beneath them cracked instantly like a spiderweb. The cracks spread out in every direction, and a massive cloud of dust shot into the sky, blotting out the sun.
Belmod's mouth twitched, and his face grew even darker. A storm of shock and awe was raging in his heart.
Too strong!
This Broly fellow is just absurdly powerful!
Why do I feel like... even if I fought him myself, it would only be an even match?
If I used Destruction energy, I might have a chance. But in a regular fight, I'm not sure I could beat him.
The more Belmod thought about it, the angrier he got. His teeth gritted together, and his fists were clenched tight.
Pop!
Broly didn't let go of Jiren's head. He reached out with his other hand and grabbed Jiren by the neck, lifting him up like a doll.
Looking at Jiren now, his eyes were rolled back, and all his previous confidence was gone. He was limp as a rag, clearly completely dazed from the impact.
Broly lightly patted Jiren's cheek and turned to Beerus with a grin. "He's out cold."
"He really can't take a hit!" Beerus laughed mockingly, his voice full of pride. "And here I thought the strongest mortal in Universe 11 was something special. Turns out he's nothing much."
Belmod was shaking all over, unable to say a single word. His face was ashen, and he looked like he had just swallowed a fly.
Toppo and Dyspo stood by, supporting each other, but they were too shocked to speak. They never would have imagined that Broly was this powerful—that he could KO Jiren in a single move. It was a total reality check!
He had acted so ordinary before, and then suddenly exploded with this much power. His swag was off the charts!
Whoosh!
Broly tossed Jiren onto the ground like a piece of trash. A look of clear disappointment was on his face, and he muttered to himself, "Goku said this Jiren guy was strong, but is this really it? If I'd known, I would have stayed on the Sacred World of the Kai to live the high life. Coming out here was a waste of time."
"Well, Belmod? What do you think?" Beerus laughed even harder, his chin lifted high. "Do you admit defeat now?"
Belmod gritted his teeth, but he couldn't say a word. He could only glare at Beerus with all the frustration he felt.
"If you're not satisfied, why don't you step up yourself? Don't say I didn't give you a chance," Beerus laughed, intentionally trying to goad him.
Belmod was torn. He really wanted to go up and give Broly a proper beating to reclaim the honor of Universe 11. But what if he lost? If word got out that a "God of Destruction was defeated by a mortal," where would he hide his face?
"Hmph. This is boring," Belmod snorted. In the end, he chickened out and gave a firm refusal.
"You're just scared, aren't you?" Beerus teased, refusing to let it go. "Belmod, when did you become such a coward? You don't even have the courage to challenge a mortal!"
"Stop trying to use reverse psychology on me!" Belmod rolled his eyes, his tone sharp. "I have things to do, so I won't be staying. Goodbye."
Whoosh!
Before the words were even finished, Belmod turned into a streak of purple-red light and shot into the sky. In the blink of an eye, he had vanished without a trace. He didn't want to stay and keep humiliating himself.
As for the unconscious Jiren and the heavily injured Toppo and Dyspo, Belmod didn't even bother to take them with him. He knew perfectly well that Beerus wouldn't do anything to them.
"Hmph. Boring guy. He got scared off that easily?" Beerus looked toward where Belmod had vanished and laughed mockingly.
"Oh boy... the mortals of Universe 7 really are something special!" Marcarita said with a small smile and a tone of genuine praise.
"Of course they are!" Beerus said immediately, a smug smile on his face as his tail wagged. "Since I'm the strongest of all twelve Gods of Destruction, it only makes sense that the mortals of my universe are the strongest too."
"Yes, yes," Marcarita nodded gently, giving Beerus the face he wanted.
"I'm hungry. I want to eat something," Broly said, patting his stomach with the look of a hungry cat. The fight had used up a lot of energy, and he was starving.
"In that case, let's head back to Universe 7. This place is boring anyway," Beerus suggested. "We'll go to Goku's house and have another meal. The food there is pretty good."
"Is the food there really that good?" Broly's eyes lit up in curiosity.
"You just ate there, didn't you? What did you think?" Beerus asked.
"It didn't seem as good as the food I had on the Sacred World of the Kai," Broly answered honestly, scratching his head.
"Oh? There's food that good on the Sacred World of the Kai? How did I not know about this?" Beerus's eyes lit up, and his tail stood straight up. To Beerus, good food was much more important than fighting.
Broly didn't say anything else, just licked his lips as he remembered the feast on the Sacred World of the Kai.
"When you were there... who was making the food for you?" Beerus asked, his interest fully piqued.
"The Supreme Kai," Broly answered simply. "He can use Instant Transmission, so he's always bringing back delicacies from all over the universe."
"That makes sense. That guy's Instant Transmission is very convenient for finding rare ingredients," Beerus nodded thoughtfully. He made a quick decision. "Then we'll go to the Sacred World of the Kai to eat. I want to try it for myself."
Broly nodded vigorously, his face full of anticipation. He felt that staying on the Sacred World of the Kai was the most comfortable way to live—feasting like a king every day was the best.
He had thought coming out would give him a real workout, but Jiren was so weak it was a total disappointment.
"Are we flying back?" Broly asked, looking a bit reluctant. It had taken hours to get here, and he didn't want to fly all that way again.
"We'll just have that Supreme Kai fellow come and get us. He can use Instant Transmission, can't he?" Beerus suggested, not caring at all that he was bothering someone else.
Broly nodded again, clearly agreeing with the plan.
After that, Beerus immediately contacted the Supreme Kai and told him to come back for another trip.
Actually, Beerus had originally wanted to take Broly to Universe 4 to pick a fight with Quitela, but since Goku wasn't with them, he wasn't confident. In Beerus's eyes, Broly's current strength was still far from being able to take on Quitela alone. If Goku were there and they fused, they could definitely beat Quitela senseless. Unfortunately, Goku had urgent business of his own to handle.
"Right, Universe 10!" Beerus suddenly remembered Zamasu, whom Goku had mentioned earlier. His expression instantly became serious.
"Lord Beerus, are we going to Universe 10 to take a look?" Bardock stepped forward and asked.
"It's worth a visit. We might as well call that Zamasu fellow out and question him, just so he doesn't cause any trouble," Beerus nodded, agreeing with Bardock's suggestion.
When he received Beerus's order, the Supreme Kai's face turned green.
Do you guys really think I'm just your personal taxi?
I just got back from Universe 11, and now you want me to go back and pick you up again!
But despite his internal grumbling, the Supreme Kai didn't dare to disobey Beerus's order. Just as he was about to set off for Planet Belmod in Universe 11, he saw Kibito running back from outside. Kibito looked pale and his expression was heavy.
"Kibito, you don't look well. What's wrong? Did something happen?" the Supreme Kai asked quickly.
"Supreme Kai, I have urgent news to report!" Kibito panted, speaking in a hurried voice.
"What is it? Take your time," the Supreme Kai said, surprised. He signaled for Kibito to calm down.
"Master Zuno just contacted me. He said that Zamasu from Universe 10 went to see him to ask about the secrets of the Super Dragon Balls!" Kibito answered.
"Zamasu? From Universe 10?" The Supreme Kai couldn't quite wrap his head around it, his brow furrowing. "Why would he want to know the secrets of the Super Dragon Balls?"
"Besides that, he was also asking for information on Vegeta. He was very detailed with his questions," Kibito added, his expression growing even worse.
"Vegeta?" The Supreme Kai's brow knit even tighter.
When he had gone to Universe 11 to pick up Goku and Vegeta, he thought he had heard them mention Zamasu's name. Could it be the same person?
"What's going on? Did something happen?" the Old Kai asked as he strolled over. He spoke casually, but there was a hint of seriousness in his eyes.
Kibito had no choice but to tell the whole story about Zamasu, leaving out every single detail.
"Aren't you supposed to pick up Lord Beerus? Go get him first, and while you're at it, tell him about this. Let him decide what to do," the Old Kai made a snap decision, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Right... of course, Ancestor," the Supreme Kai nodded. Not wanting to waste any time, he vanished instantly.
Soon, the Supreme Kai returned to the Sacred World of the Kai with Beerus, Broly, and Bardock.
Originally, Beerus was going to have the Supreme Kai take him directly to Universe 10, but after hearing what Kibito had reported, he decided to stop and get the full story first.
"Kibito, tell Lord Beerus exactly what happened," the Supreme Kai ordered, his tone serious.
Kibito didn't dare to delay and repeated everything about Zamasu asking about the Super Dragon Balls and Vegeta.
"So things really are going wrong in our world too! That fellow actually has the nerve to target our Universe 7. He even wants to switch bodies with Vegeta!" Beerus snorted, his eyes narrowing into slits. A dangerous aura began to radiate from him.
"Lord Beerus, what exactly is going on?" the Old Kai asked.
Beerus didn't hide anything. He gave the two Kais and Kibito a brief explanation of what had happened in Goku's timeline. He told them how Future Trunks's world had been devastated, how Zamasu had killed everyone except Trunks, and how Zamasu had switched bodies with Vegeta.
The Supreme Kai and Old Kai were both stunned. Their mouths hung open so wide you could have fit an egg in them. They never would have guessed that such a tragedy had happened in Trunks's parallel world. Even more shocking was that the culprit was Zamasu from Universe 10, and that he had the nerve to switch bodies with Vegeta!
"Lord Beerus, we absolutely cannot allow such a thing to happen in our world!" the Supreme Kai said gravely. He clenched his fists, his voice firm.
"Enough talk," Beerus said flatly. "Now that we know, we'll go there right now and Hakai him. We'll do it before he can switch bodies with Vegeta, just so things don't get any worse."
"Hakai... you're going to destroy him?" the Supreme Kai asked, quietly wiping cold sweat from his forehead.
But given how far things had gone, the Supreme Kai couldn't afford to be soft-hearted. He could only nod and go along with it.
"Take me to the Sacred World of the Kai in Universe 10 immediately. Don't waste time," Beerus ordered the Supreme Kai, his tone leaving no room for doubt.
"Of course, Lord Beerus," the Supreme Kai nodded, not daring to delay.
"Lord Beerus, I'm coming with you!" Bardock suggested.
"Do whatever you want," Beerus said, glancing at Bardock. He then turned to Broly, clearly asking for his opinion.
"I'm not going!" Broly refused instantly without even thinking. As he spoke, he had already pulled out a picnic mat and was skillfully spreading it on the ground. He even took out several snacks from a Hoi-Poi Capsule and arranged them neatly.
Beerus: "..."
Does this guy have nothing but food on his mind?
"I didn't say you had to go anyway!" Beerus rolled his eyes at Broly, his tone full of annoyance.
"Well then, shall we head out now, Lord Beerus?" the Supreme Kai said, quickly trying to play peacemaker. He made the suggestion carefully, afraid the two of them might start arguing again.
"Let's go. Don't waste time," Beerus nodded. He naturally placed a hand on the Supreme Kai's shoulder, acting as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Bardock followed suit and placed his hand on the other shoulder.
"Kai Kai!"
The Supreme Kai muttered the words, and a faint light began to glow around them as he prepared to use Instant Transmission.
However, just as Beerus's figure was about to vanish, a smirk appeared on his face. He casually released a tiny bit of Destruction energy toward the picnic mat Broly had just set up.
Snap!
In an instant, the picnic mat and all the snacks Broly had carefully arranged were turned into ash by the Destruction energy. They vanished without a trace.
Broly was instantly furious. He began to grit his teeth, and a dark green aura surged around him. His eyes were wide as saucers, and he looked like he wanted to swallow Beerus whole. That was the feast he had worked so hard to prepare!
The Old Kai and Kibito were so terrified they scrambled away, clinging to each other as they ran for their lives, afraid of being caught in the crossfire of Broly's rage.
"Lord Beerus is so childish... why did he have to go and destroy Broly's picnic mat on purpose?" the Old Kai whispered, speechless and exasperated as he hid behind a stone pillar in the distance.
"At least Broly has his sanity back now... otherwise we'd have to pack our bags and hide on another planet for a while," Kibito said, wiping away cold sweat with a long sigh.
