Chapter 145 - Chapter 145 Kakarot, why didn't you take me with you when you fused?

"Frieza, you're living quite well here, aren't you? You even have so many elves singing and dancing for you," Beerus said with a smile, his eyes crinkling into crescents, his tone slightly teasing.

Frieza: "..."

You call this a good life?

Don't you know that this is endless torment for me, Frieza?

These chattering little things are driving me crazy!

"Hmph, this place is terrible!" Frieza gritted his teeth and shook his head, veins throbbing on his forehead. "For me, this place is hell."

"Yes, this is indeed hell." Beerus nodded, his tone flat, as if he were simply stating a fact.

Frieza fell silent, his lips twitching slightly.

Lord Beerus, the way you're chatting is really going to kill the conversation.

Can you please not be so blunt?

"Smack!"

Beerus snapped his fingers lightly, and a small cluster of purplish-red sparks flickered at the tip of his finger.

Suddenly, the cocoon that had trapped Frieza shattered like broken glass, and countless shimmering points of light scattered in the air.

Frieza tumbled out of the cocoon, stumbling for a few steps before finding his footing. He immediately began to stretch his stiff limbs, his bones letting out a series of sharp cracks.

Then, a flicker of realization crossed Frieza's face, and his eyes sparkled with a hint of pleasant surprise. He quickly stepped forward and dropped to his knees in a deep bow, his knees hitting the ground with a heavy thud. With a trace of excitement, he said, "Thank you for saving me, Lord Beerus! Did you come all this way specifically to rescue me?"

"Don't get ahead of yourself. I want to see your true power first," Beerus said with a light chuckle, his eyes scanning Frieza with a scrutinizing gaze.

"My true power?" Frieza froze for a moment, then without a second's hesitation, an immense surge of energy erupted from his body. The very air around him began to tremble.

VROOOM!

Frieza instantly entered his Golden form, his entire body enveloped in a dazzling golden light as his Ki skyrocketed. The massive energy surged outward, creating a powerful gale that sent the surrounding fairies flying in all directions. They let out cries of terror, looking like dandelions caught in a hurricane.

Whis glanced at the fairies, a hint of pity in his eyes. He tapped his staff lightly on the ground—clink. Instantly, a soft, shimmering barrier of light enveloped the fairies, steadying them and keeping them safe to one side.

"Oh? This form is quite unique. I don't recall you being able to do this before," Beerus remarked, looking a bit surprised. He raised an eyebrow and looked Frieza up and down.

"This... this is a new form I obtained through rigorous training. I call it Golden Frieza," Frieza replied with a confident smile, his chin tilted up as pride shone in his eyes.

Frieza wasn't stupid; he certainly wasn't going to mention anything about being reincarnated. If he did, there was a good chance Lord Beerus would erase him on the spot. It was better to keep a low profile.

"It looks decent enough. Try attacking me with everything you've got," Beerus nodded slightly and beckoned to Frieza, his tone as casual as if he were calling over a pet.

"This... I'm not sure that would be appropriate, Lord Beerus," Frieza said, forcing a strained smile while secretly calculating how best to perform.

"Hurry up. If you keep dawdling, I'll erase you," Beerus huffed, his voice tinged with impatience. A faint, oppressive pressure radiated from him.

"Yes, Lord Beerus!" Frieza nodded vigorously, his heart skipping a beat.

You said it! You're the one who told me to attack you! Don't blame me if it hurts. Frieza felt a small surge of confidence. After all, I'm in my Golden form now. I've trained for so long—while this form might not be enough to beat Lord Beerus, it'll definitely give him a sting he won't forget! I'll show you what I'm made of!

"Hit me right here!" Beerus pointed to his forehead and commanded with a hint of provocation in his eyes.

"Ah? Alright..." Frieza's mouth twitched, and he hesitated for a moment before agreeing.

Whoosh!

Without another second's delay, Frieza turned into a streak of golden lightning and lunged at Beerus. He clenched his fist, focusing every ounce of his strength, and delivered a heavy punch squarely to Beerus' forehead.

BAM!

Frieza's fist connected with Beerus' forehead with a dull thud, sounding as if he had struck a solid block of granite.

And then... nothing happened.

Beerus acted as if nothing had touched him. He didn't even flinch. He calmly sensed the power behind Frieza's punch, and a look of realization crossed his eyes.

This power... it feels on par with that Vegeta fellow. Actually, Vegeta is a bit stronger than him. Well, they should make for a decent pair of rivals! At least I won't be too bored.

"Hmm, not bad," Beerus gave a brief evaluation, his tone flat and emotionless.

Frieza's pupils dilated, and his face was a mask of pure shock. His mouth hung open, and for a long time, he couldn't find his voice.

Is Lord Beerus really this strong? That punch just now had everything I had! I gave him my best shot, and he acts like it was nothing? As expected of the God of Destruction, Beerus. I'll have to be very careful from now on. I can't afford to be as arrogant as I was before.

After a brief hesitation, Frieza dropped to his knees before Beerus again, his attitude significantly more respectful.

"Can you continue to get stronger?" Beerus asked with a smile, his tone softening slightly.

"As long as I'm given enough time to train, I will definitely become stronger," Frieza said, gritting his teeth. A look of determination shone in his eyes, and his thirst for power was plain for all to see.

"Very well. I'll give you all the time you need to train!" Beerus nodded, agreeing readily.

"Really?" Frieza was both shocked and overjoyed. He looked up, his eyes filled with disbelief. Lord Beerus is actually going to give me time to train? This is a godsend!

"If I give you enough time, will you be able to beat me?" Beerus asked, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

Frieza: "..."

Frieza's mouth twitched violently, and he began to tremble with fear as cold sweat broke out on his forehead. This question is a death trap!

"I couldn't! You are the God of Destruction, after all!" Frieza said quickly and humbly, lowering his head even further. "No matter how hard I work, it would be impossible to surpass a God of Destruction."

Please, don't joke with me like that. I can't handle it.

"You shouldn't say that. You should say your goal is to surpass the God of Destruction," Beerus said, rolling his eyes at Frieza with a hint of dissatisfaction. No ambition at all.

Frieza secretly wiped the sweat from his forehead, thinking to himself: Actually, that's exactly what I'm thinking, I just don't dare say it out loud. I still want to live for a few more years.

"Whis, show Frieza the projection of Quitela," Beerus said, turning to Whis as his tone returned to normal.

Whis nodded slightly and raised his staff. The crystal ball atop the staff projected a clear image that hovered in the air. The image showed a small, yellow-furred mouse. More accurately, it was a yellow-furred mouse-man. It was Quitela, the God of Destruction of Universe 4.

"See this guy?" Beerus pointed to the projection of Quitela and asked.

Frieza nodded, looking completely lost and filled with confusion. Who is this guy? Why is he wearing the same style of clothes as Lord Beerus? Is he a God of Destruction too?

"This guy is the God of Destruction of Universe 4, and he's the weakest God of Destruction among all the universes," Beerus said with a slight smirk, his voice tinged with schadenfreude. "Your goal is simple: surpass this weakest God of Destruction."

Whis placed a hand to his forehead and shook his head helplessly. The weakest God of Destruction! Lord Beerus, you really have some nerve saying that. How much are you trying to set him up? Are you trying to get Frieza killed? If Lord Quitela heard this, he'd probably go insane with rage.

"Well? That shouldn't be too hard for you, right?" Beerus' smirk grew wider, as if he were leading Frieza into a trap that had been dug long ago.

"No problem," Frieza said without a hint of fear. He almost wanted to say: Forget about the weakest God of Destruction—even the strongest God of Destruction will be surpassed by me, Frieza. It's just the weakest one, right? With my talent, surpassing him is only a matter of time.

"Confidence is good, but don't be arrogant," Beerus huffed, rolling his eyes at Frieza again. His expression grew a bit more serious, and his tone carried a warning. Don't go tripping at the finish line.

Frieza nodded and bowed repeatedly, acting as respectful as a grandson, and agreed several times.

"Whis, revive him," Beerus commanded, as if he were handling a trivial matter.

"Certainly, Lord Beerus," Whis nodded. He waved his staff toward Frieza, and a soft light shot from the tip, enveloping the tyrant.

Pop!

The halo above Frieza's head vanished like a popped bubble. Frieza was revived. Feeling the change in his body—the coldness of death fading away, replaced by vibrant life—Frieza was momentarily stunned. He looked at his hands in disbelief.

I'm really alive? I, Frieza, have actually been revived? This is wonderful! And the one who revived me was actually that servant beside Lord Beerus. That servant is no joke! His power is unfathomable.

Frieza took a deep look at Whis, feeling more and more like he couldn't see through him. I never realized he was this powerful before. Truly, you can't judge a book by its cover.

"Thank you, Lord Beerus!" Frieza knelt and bowed again, his voice filled with gratitude—this time, it was genuine. No matter what, being alive felt good.

"Alright, work hard and surpass that Quitela fellow as soon as possible," Beerus huffed, waving his hand impatiently. He then called out to Whis, "Let's go, Whis."

"Certainly, Lord Beerus," Whis nodded and waved his staff.

Whoosh!

Whis took Beerus and Frieza and turned into a brilliant streak of light, instantly leaving Hell and entering the vastness of space. The scenery around them blurred as they moved at incredible speeds.

"I finally understand your intention, Lord Beerus," Whis sighed softly, his voice tinged with a hint of helplessness.

"What?" Beerus asked, looking at Whis with confusion.

"You aren't planning to train a few mortals just to have them beat up Lord Quitela, are you?" Whis asked with a chuckle, his eyes shimmering with realization.

"Hehehe. Actually, I hadn't even thought of that at first—I just came up with it now," Beerus grinned, his tail flicking with pride. "Think about it. When the mortals from our universe give Quitela a good thrashing, he'll be beyond livid, won't he? Just the thought of it is amusing."

"Oh my, Lord Quitela might be so angry he won't be able to sleep for tens of thousands of years," Whis nodded with a smile, his eyes also showing a hint of anticipation. There's going to be a good show to watch.

"I've realized something—why should I have a grudge against the mortals of our universe?" Beerus chuckled. "It's a good thing if they get stronger. In the future, I can take them to other universes and have them fight the other Gods of Destruction for fun. Just thinking about it is exciting!"

That would be much more interesting than sleeping all day.

Whis covered his face and shook his head helplessly. Lord Beerus, your ideas are truly unique. Aren't you afraid of turning the entire universe upside down?

As they spoke, they had used their energy to shield Frieza from their conversation. Frieza couldn't hear a word they said; he only felt the space around him moving rapidly.

Frieza was also beyond excited. No matter what, he was finally alive. Now that he was revived, he should find that Vegeta fellow and get his revenge. I hadn't even shown my true power last time. I'll show him what Golden Frieza is truly capable of! But... I'm currently under Lord Beerus' control. I have to find a way to break free as soon as possible. I can't be held back by him forever.

Frieza's eyes darted around as he surveyed the cosmic scenery. Suddenly, he noticed a patch of starry sky in the distance where space seemed to be warped and distorted, presenting a strange curvature.

"Lord Beerus, what is that place?" Frieza pointed to the nebula, his eyes filled with curiosity.

Beerus glanced in the direction Frieza was pointing and said dismissively, "Nothing special. That should be an other-dimensional space."

"An other-dimensional space?" Frieza blinked, not quite understanding.

"It's a special space where time flows differently," Beerus explained simply. "Entering that space means time won't be synchronized with our side. It's possible that time moves slower in there while it moves faster out here, or vice versa. For example, a day might pass out here, while a month or even a year passes inside."

"There's such a magical place?" Frieza's eyes sparkled as a thought occurred to him. "If ten days pass out here while ten years pass inside, wouldn't that be a perfect place for training?"

If I can find a place like that, my strength will surely skyrocket! When that time comes, forget about Quitela—even Lord Beerus might not be a match for me!

"Even if I gave you ten years to train, could you really surpass Quitela?" Beerus looked back at Frieza, his expression calm but his tone carrying a hint of doubt. Don't go embarrassing me.

"It shouldn't be much of a problem," Frieza replied quickly, his tone carrying a hint of uncertainty but mostly confidence. As long as I have time, nothing is impossible!

"You can look for those other-dimensional spaces yourself when you have the time," Beerus said dismissively, having no intention of taking Frieza there.

Whoosh!

Whis increased their speed, and a brilliant light erupted in the starry sky as they turned into a streak of light and vanished into the deep universe.

The Planet of the God of Destruction:

The Oracle Fish was riding its transparent fishbowl, leisurely blowing bubbles into the sky. A series of crystal-clear bubbles floated in the air. A few of them drifted over and landed on Vegeta's face, popping and waking him with a cool sensation.

Vegeta's eyes snapped open, and he immediately looked around with a mix of alertness and confusion. The next moment, he leaped up with the agility of a leopard and saw the Oracle Fish beside him.

"Oracle Fish?" Vegeta rubbed his heavy head, looking shocked. He hadn't expected to see it here.

"Oh? You recognize me?" The Oracle Fish froze, its round eyes filled with surprise.

"I've heard of you..." Vegeta replied simply. He looked around again, and when he realized where he was, his heart began to race, and his breathing grew shallow.

Isn't this the Planet of the God of Destruction? Isn't this Lord Beerus' planet? Why am I here?

"This is the Planet of the God of Destruction, the planet where Lord Beerus lives. You can also call it Planet Beerus," the Oracle Fish explained slowly, swishing its tail.

Vegeta: "..."

I knew that without you telling me.

"Why am I here?" Vegeta asked, his brow furrowed with confusion.

"Lord Beerus brought you here," the Oracle Fish replied honestly.

"Lord Beerus?" Vegeta was stunned. "He's awake?"

"Yes, he's awake," the Oracle Fish nodded, looking Vegeta up and down. "It seems you know quite a lot."

Vegeta fell silent, his fingers unconsciously clenching. This isn't right. I remember I was fighting Broly. At this time, shouldn't the Majin Buu incident have just started? Why would Lord Beerus wake up now? Could it be...

"How long have I been asleep?" Vegeta asked, instinctively assuming he had been out for three years. After all, according to the history of his previous life, Beerus only appeared three years after the Majin Buu incident.

"About three hours," the Oracle Fish replied casually, blowing another bubble.

Vegeta: "..."

Only three hours.

I thought I'd been out for three years. That means Lord Beerus woke up three years earlier than I expected. But why would he bring me to the Planet of the God of Destruction?

In the next instant, Vegeta's pupils dilated, his face shifting through a dozen expressions as his heart leaped into his throat.

Don't tell me Lord Beerus has already been to Earth and killed my Bulma?

According to the events of his previous life, Lord Beerus was supposed to go to Earth in search of the Super Saiyan God right when Bulma was holding her birthday party. But in this life, Bulma hadn't even held her birthday yet.

Just as Vegeta was feeling a surge of anxiety—bordering on panic—a low voice suddenly echoed nearby.

"You're finally awake."

Vegeta knew that voice well; he recognized it almost instantly as Beerus. He turned his head mechanically, looking stiffly in the direction of the voice.

Sure enough, it was Whis and Beerus. However, besides the two of them, there was another figure present—one he loathed with every fiber of his being: Frieza.

Vegeta was momentarily stunned, his eyes filled with shock and confusion. What the hell do you mean by bringing Frieza here? Didn't I already wipe him out? Has this guy... been revived again? Just how long have I been asleep? Was it really only three short hours? Why is there such an information overload?

Frieza was also staring at Vegeta with a look of pure hatred, his eyes shimmering with a venomous light as his knuckles let out a sharp crack. If Beerus and Whis weren't there, Frieza would have loved nothing more than to lunge at Vegeta and give him a brutal thrashing, settling their blood feud once and for all.

"Was it Lord Beerus who brought me here?" Vegeta asked, suppressing the shock in his heart.

"Of course," Beerus nodded, leaning lazily against a rock.

"Where's Kakarot? Why didn't he come?" Vegeta looked around for Goku, but he couldn't sense his Ki anywhere.

"If by Kakarot you mean Son Goku, he didn't come," Beerus replied, his tone flat.

Vegeta: "..."

This plot is starting to spiral out of my control.

"Frieza! You've been revived?" Vegeta turned his head, his gaze sharp as he looked at Frieza, his lips curling into a cold smirk.

"Indeed. I, Frieza, am not so easily killed!" Frieza huffed, clenching his fists tightly as a faint murderous intent radiated from him.

"Since you two clearly can't stand the sight of each other, why don't you have a proper fight?" Beerus said with a light chuckle, waving a hand at the two of them.

Vegeta and Frieza both felt as if happiness had suddenly fallen into their laps, and a spark of excitement flashed in their eyes. As expected of Lord Beerus—you really do understand us! We definitely can't stand each other!

"Thank you for the opportunity, Lord Beerus!" Frieza said, both surprised and overjoyed. He bowed slightly to Beerus, his tone carrying a hint of fawning.

"But before we fight, there's something I want to ask," Vegeta said, still looking a bit dazed, his brow furrowed.

"What is it?" Beerus asked, sounding a bit impatient.

"Has Lord Beerus already been to Earth?" Vegeta asked nervously, his heart pounding as he feared a bad answer.

"Why would I go to Earth?" Beerus asked, looking confused.

"Then it's fine," Vegeta sighed in relief, his tense body finally relaxing as the fine beads of sweat on his forehead slowly trickled down.

Beerus: "..."

Beerus' face turned black. He felt ignored and was starting to get annoyed. Asking questions like that... it's really getting on my nerves!

"One more question... how are Broly and Kakarot doing?" Vegeta asked, a hint of concern in his eyes.

Beerus' face grew even darker, the veins on his forehead beginning to throb. Asking questions like that is a good way to get a beating.

"Oh my, Mr. Goku and Mr. Broly fused into Kakaroly and had quite a battle with Lord Beerus," Whis offered the answer with a smile, his tone light and breezy.

Beerus: "..."

Beerus shot Whis a fierce glare and snapped, "Whis, shut up!"

"W-What did you say?" Vegeta's eyes widened, his face shifting through several expressions as his voice began to tremble. "Kakarot and Broly... fused?"

"Yes, indeed. They used the Metamoran Fusion Dance," Whis nodded, his face still wearing a gentle smile.

Vegeta's expression instantly became incredibly unsightly, as if he had been punched hard in the gut.

Kakarot, you've gone too far. Hasn't it always been the two of us who fused? And now you've gone and fused with Broly? Then what about me? If you're fusing with Broly, who am I supposed to fuse with? Am I supposed to fuse with this Frieza guy?

The more Vegeta thought about it, the angrier he got. Several veins bulged on his forehead, and his knuckles cracked as a wave of intense fury radiated from him.

Kakarot, you bastard. Only our fusion is the strongest existence. Have you forgotten about our union as Vegito? And that name, 'Kakaroly'—it sounds absolutely pathetic. How could it ever sound as good as Gogeta or Vegito?

Vegeta was genuinely livid, his chest heaving with rage. He wanted nothing more than to charge over to Goku right this second and demand an explanation.
