Aiden's POV
"What do you mean you couldn't stop her?" I growled, my voice thick with irritation.
"I don't know what happened, Alpha," the guard stammered, his body trembling under my gaze. "One minute we were on our way out, and the next minute, a really loud, painful sound hit us. It made our ears bleed." He looked down, completely confused by his own words.
"Yes, Alpha," the second guard added quickly. "We don't know how she did it, but she took the remedy back from us. We couldn't fight her."
I let out a harsh scoff. They sounded completely ridiculous right now. "I did not tell you to fight her! I told you to get the antidote from her, but you couldn't even do that simple task. Get out of my face before I lose my shit."
The two guards bowed quickly and hurried out of the room.
