Lucian's POV
I checked my phone again. Still no reply from her. My wolf paced restlessly inside me, growling low. He hated this place. He didn't want to be here.
"What do we even want from her?" he snarled in my head.
I scoffed, a smirk tugging at my lips.
"You can relax," I told him, the smirk still playing on my mouth. "We just need to have a little conversation with her."
"Lucian."
Her voice came from behind me. My eyebrow lifted slightly. Of course she showed up.
"I knew you would ask for me again," Emily added as she stepped closer. She walked right up to me, her fingers brushing my face. "You missed me… just as much as I missed you."
She leaned in, aiming for my lips.
I pulled back just enough. "What's the rush?" I asked, voice low. "Why do you want to kiss me so easily?"
"I can't stay here long," she whispered, worry thick in her tone. "You know I don't want Aiden getting suspicious."
I looked straight into her eyes. "Are you still going to marry him?"
