Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 : Tang San So I Have Twin Trash Martial Souls

Within the dark and cold halls of the Spirit Hall, the atmosphere was heavy with shock. Bibi Dong sat upon her throne, her fingers tightening around the cold metal of her scepter. Her eyes were fixed on the glowing heavenly curtain, which displayed the final test results of the Dragon God Douluo, Yu Xiaogang.

She whispered to herself in disbelief, wondering if it was truly possible to change one's Innate Spirit Power. In the past, Bibi Dong would have never looked twice at someone who only had rank one Innate Spirit Power.

To her, such a person was barely worth noticing. However, seeing this result from Yu Xiaogang's counterpart changed everything. The original Yu Xiaogang was known to have started with only a half-rank of power. Seeing that number move up to a full rank was a miracle.

Bibi Dong did not need to think for long to realize what this meant for the world. If a half-rank increase could happen in just six months of work, the impact on the Douluo Continent would be massive. It was a revolutionary discovery that challenged everything they knew about cultivation. She began to wonder what would happen if a child started training even earlier. What if they began at the age of four, or even two?

The most important part of this discovery was not just for the weak, but for the powerful. Great clans and sects already had talented children. If a child born with rank seven or eight power started training early, they might reach Full Innate Spirit Power by the time they were six. While a few ranks might seem small to a commoner, to a Spirit Master, it was the difference between heaven and earth. It was the line between having a small hope of becoming a Titled Douluo and being guaranteed to reach that peak.

She looked down at her disciple, Hu Liena, who stood below the throne. Bibi Dong felt a small pang of regret and shook her head. It was a shame that her student was already grown up. This new information was useless for Hu Liena now.

As for the rest of the Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong didn't care much about helping them grow stronger. She viewed the Spirit Hall as nothing more than a tool—a sharp blade in her hand. She had no desire to sharpen that blade for the sake of others. If they expected her to nurture the future generation for the good of the organization, they were dreaming. Because of her cold attitude, the Spirit Hall remained quiet, but the rest of the continent was already in a state of chaos.

At the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, the reaction was much more intense. Ning Fengzhi was moving quickly, his voice echoing through the main hall as he gave out orders. He told his subordinates to send word immediately that every child who had not yet awakened their Spirit must begin cultivation right away.

He also ordered their trading firms to find every medicinal herb that could help a child's body grow stronger. He wanted every meditation method they could find, no matter the cost, so they could study them and find the best one. He told everyone to move fast and watch the heavenly curtain while they worked.

After the orders were given, Ning Fengzhi sat back in his chair and let out a long breath. He admitted that he never expected training before the Martial Soul Awakening to actually do anything. Next to him, the Bone Douluo, Gu Rong, looked very excited. As a leader of a great sect, he knew this was a game-changer. It meant that geniuses with Full Innate Spirit Power would no longer be rare. The sect would soon be filled with talented youths, ensuring they would stay powerful for a long time.

However, Sword Douluo Chen Xin looked sad. He thought of Ning Rongrong, the girl they both loved like a granddaughter. She had been born with rank nine power, just one step away from perfection. He lamented that if they had known this sooner, they would have done anything to help her get that last rank. Gu Rong agreed, feeling the same regret.

Ning Fengzhi just smiled and kept his thoughts to himself. He knew that because of their Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Spirit, they could only reach rank seventy-nine anyway. Rank nine was more than enough for Rongrong. Besides, he knew how much those two old men spoiled her. If she had cried even a little bit from the hard work of early training, they probably would have stopped her immediately.

Ning Fengzhi looked back at the image of Yu Xiaogang on the screen with hope in his eyes. He felt that watching the life of the Dragon God Douluo would bring even more treasures. He hoped to find a way to evolve his Spirit into the fabled Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. He silently wished that his other self in that parallel world would make friends with Yu Xiaogang.

Meanwhile, at Shrek Academy, the mood was very different. The local Yu Xiaogang stood frozen, his mouth dry as he stared at the screen. He couldn't believe that Innate Spirit Power could be changed. He started to think about his own childhood. Before his Spirit awakened, he had spent all his time enjoying the praise of his family. Everyone called him the Young Sect Master, and he loved it.

Now, he felt a deep regret. He wondered if he would have been a genius too if he had just worked harder as a child. But Yu Xiaogang was a man who hated to blame himself. He quickly looked for someone else to point the finger at. He decided it was his father's fault. He told himself that Yu Yuanzhen was to blame for letting people flatter him.

He believed that if he hadn't been surrounded by people telling him how great he was, he would have spent his time researching. With his brain, he surely would have discovered these secrets on his own. He felt better once he shifted all his anger toward his father.

Nearby, Tang San was lost in thought. He touched his chest and thought about his own life. He had been practicing the Mysterious Heaven Skill since he was a small child, long before his Spirit awakened. He began to wonder if his Full Innate Spirit Power was actually something he earned through that training, rather than something he was born with.

He called out his Blue Silver Grass Spirit and looked at it. He realized that if his power came from his secret training, then his Spirit really was just a piece of trash. Before this, he thought he was a natural genius, but he could never explain why a weak Blue Silver Grass came with such high power. His teacher, Yu Xiaogang, told him it was because of the hammer Spirit in his other hand.

Now, Tang San had a different idea. He thought that maybe even the hammer was a trash Spirit. He figured it made sense that a simple blacksmith in a tiny village wouldn't have a genius son. He felt a strange sense of relief.

He decided that the world of the Douluo Continent didn't matter as much as the skills he brought from his past life in the Tang Sect. To him, those old secrets were the only things he could truly rely on.
