Initially, Emperor Viktor didn't take the Outsider's invitation seriously.
Emperor Viktor was an extremely conceited man who didn't even respect Superman.
"If this so-called Secret Society of Super Villains is made up of a bunch of trash, I don't think I need to know more."
"Then why don't you come and see for yourself?"
The Outsider wasn't upset by his arrogance and patiently tried to persuade him.
"It won't take much of your time. You might find that they're a reliable asset."
Emperor Viktor frowned but followed the Outsider's directions, making his way to the Outsider's secret base on Adak Island in Alaska.
This place was located at the edge of Alaska.
It was covered in tundra and snow all year round, and only about six or seven hundred people lived on nearly three hundred square miles of land.
During World War II, the United States built a military base on the island, but it was long abandoned.
The Outsider's secret base was buried beneath the ruins of that old military base.
He looked indifferently at the rusty door leading to the underground passage.
To be honest, aside from being well-hidden, this place was no style at all.
It was hard to believe it could hide anyone capable of going up against the Justice League.
"Well, I'm already here."
Since he had already reached the door, turning back would have wasted more time.
He walked down the stairs.
He thought to himself that he would simply crush them all if he opened the door and found a league of trash.
As the sensor lights turned on, a pair of glowing green eyes also lit up.
"A new superpower was recorded."
A muscular man with a bare chest and pointed ears looked at Emperor Viktor with a cruel smile.
His already massive body grew rapidly amid a faint humming sound, and he soon became as tall and sturdy as him.
"Everything you have, I have it all now!"
The yellow light, representing fear, even began to emanate from the man's body.
"I am Amazo."
Those green pupils were an electronic eye structure similar to Cyborg's.
Viktor's mouth twitched slightly.
The Outsider really had some real connections.
He had actually managed to get his hands on a super android like Amazo—someone powerful enough to be the villain of an entire story arc.
Amazo could instantly replicate all the powers of any metahuman within sight.
He could even absorb the abilities of multiple superhumans at the same time and adjust them dynamically during a fight.
Most importantly, this thing had never appeared in his own timeline.
He didn't know if the person who knew Amazo's location had died during the invasion or what had happened.
Regardless, Emperor Viktor had no experience fighting Amazo.
"What? Do you plan to get rid of me after copying my powers?"
"No, no, of course not. This is just to give you confidence in your potential allies."
Amazo, who had been rubbing his hands together and getting ready for a fight, suddenly acted as if he had been switched off.
Amazo's green pupils dimmed, and he stepped aside under some kind of command.
Then the real members of the Secret Society of Super Villains walked out from inside the base.
Psimon wore a pink robe, and the top of his head looked like a giant glass fishbowl, with his brain tissue, which was three times larger than a normal person's, was soaked inside it.
Beside him was Despero, who stood two and a half meters tall with a third eye on his forehead.
He had a fin on his head and ears, and he wore gold jewelry engraved with inscriptions on his wrists, neck, and waist.
He paid more attention to these two.
As for the others, like Copperhead, Giganta, and Gorilla Grodd, Emperor Viktor didn't think much of them.
They had either died during the invasion war or died at his hands.
Despero was physically inhuman and even more massive than him, combining formidable psychic ability with physical strength.
In his own timeline, Emperor Viktor had never fought this guy and could not judge how strong he really was.
As for Psimon, Emperor Viktor had a very deep impression of him.
He was also a villain who specialized in psychic power and magic.
He existed because he had accidentally connected to Trigon's dimension and received Trigon's blessing.
He was one of the masterminds who controlled Raven and set a trap for Emperor Viktor's third arrival.
A mysterious smile curled on his lips.
"I suppose I can't say you're all worthless trash."
As soon as he said this, some of the supervillains immediately lost their tempers.
Copperhead even flicked his tongue and almost charged forward.
But Emperor Viktor moved faster than him.
In almost the blink of an eye, he flashed directly in front of Psimon.
The folds of brain tissue soaking in the fishbowl began to tremble violently as Psimon tried to deploy a psychic shield to protect himself.
But Emperor Viktor was faster. He grabbed the large fishbowl on top of the man's head with both hands.
Then, he squeezed his hands together.
He treated the mental shield and the brain inside the bowl as if they were nothing, crushing them completely.
As they watched the brainless body collapse, Copperhead instantly pulled back his tongue.
He stood perfectly still, as if he were holding a stiff military pose.
Emperor Viktor turned and looked at the remaining villains.
To his surprise, aside from a few pieces of trash he already despised, who showed fear, the expressions of the others barely changed.
The Outsider even calmly asked.
"Are you satisfied now?"
He shook the broken glass and slimy bits of brain from his hands and clicked his tongue.
"It seems your alliance is very fragile."
"That was just an extra. I already knew how you felt about Psimon. You can consider him a 'payment' I paid to you."
The Outsider's tone, as if everything was under his control, was somewhat annoying.
Before Emperor Viktor could respond, a set of footsteps echoed coming from outside the underground passage where he had entered earlier.
"Of course, to replace Psimon's role in the team, I recruited someone in advance."
A pair of brown leather shoes stepped through the dust. A scruffy middle-aged man with a cigarette in his mouth slowly appeared at the entrance of the base.
"Constantine?"
Emperor Viktor's expression turned strange the moment he recognized the man's face.
The Outsider actually dares to use this one.
It's either that he was genuinely that confident or that he never knew what John Constantine was capable of.
Constantine swept a lazy glance around the underground base at the assembled villains, and his eyes lingered on him a moment longer than the rest.
Then he exhaled a smoke ring.
I have no interest in cooperating with any of you. It's just that, due to certain identity issues, I don't want people to find out I'm after that place."
The Outsider's voice spoke into Emperor Viktor's earpiece at the same time.
"As long as our goals are the same, anyone can be an ally."
"The first step of the plan was to attack the Rock of Eternity."
