Chapter 73 - Chapter 73

Chapter 73:

A military base, flames soaring into the sky.

Hulk's massive body rose from the ruins, his green skin completely unaffected by the explosive firelight.

His eyes burned with rage, yet the corners of his mouth curled into a vicious grin.

"Open fire! Open fire!" the commander screamed hysterically.

In an instant, dozens of heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, and even tank barrels all aimed at Hulk. Bullets and shells poured down!

Bang bang bang!!!

Sparks exploded across Hulk's body, smoke billowing everywhere. Yet—

Hulk didn't retreat a single step.

He looked down at his unscathed chest, then…

He gave an evil smirk.

The next second, he leaped powerfully. The ground cracked beneath his feet as he shot like a cannonball toward the nearest heavy machine gun position!

"Aaaahhh!!!"

The gunner hadn't even reacted before Hulk grabbed him with one hand and hurled him like a sandbag toward a distant armored vehicle.

BOOM! The armored vehicle was smashed over instantly!

Hulk didn't stop. He charged straight toward a tank. Under the soldiers' terrified gazes, he seized the barrel with one hand.

Creak!

Amid the piercing sound of twisting metal, the barrel was bent forcibly!

Inside the tank, soldiers frantically pounded the hatch: "Let me out! Let me out!"

Hulk grinned ferociously and smashed a fist down on the tank's roof.

Dong!!

The entire tank was hammered half into the ground!

Inside the office, General Ross shot to his feet.

That roar—he knew it all too well.

"G-General!"

A soldier burst through the door, face deathly pale. "It's Hulk! He's broken in!"

Ross's face turned iron-blue. He shoved the soldier aside and charged into the corridor.

The moment he threw open the main door—his world seemed to freeze.

The base was already in ruins. Amid the flames, the green monster was tearing apart an armored vehicle with his bare hands. Soldiers were flung like toys.

And Hulk suddenly turned his head, locking onto him.

Their gazes collided in mid-air.

Ross's blood turned ice-cold.

Run!

He spun to flee back to the office, but…

BOOM!!!

The entire wall shattered. Hulk slowly stepped through, rubble and dust flying around his feet.

Ross trembled as he reached for the pistol in the drawer.

"Why are you here?!"

His voice was hoarse. The gun barrel pointed at Hulk, but shook like a sieve.

Bang!

The bullet struck Hulk's chest, then ricocheted off.

Hulk looked down at the tiny dent, then slowly raised his head. The rage in his eyes was almost tangible.

As if saying: You dare insult Hulk with this toy?!

"You can't kill me!"

Ross retreated, voice twisting. "Betty will be heartbroken! She…"

Betty?!!

Hulk's roar nearly shattered the glass. The violent sound wave blew Ross's hairstyle into a bird's nest.

This bastard still dared mention her name?!

Hulk took one step and was suddenly in front of Ross. His massive hand clamped around Ross's neck, lifting him high.

"No! Wait! We can talk!"

Bang!

Before Ross could finish, Hulk slammed him brutally into the ground!

Then he grabbed Ross by the ankle.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Left, right—Hulk swung him like a sack of potatoes, smashing him into the floor over and over!

Crack!

Splatter!

After more than a dozen slams, Hulk finally stopped and dropped the limp Ross to the ground.

Ptoo!

Still not satisfied, he spat on Ross's face.

Outside the door, the soldier who had reported the news sat collapsed on the floor, pants soaked.

Hulk walked out of the office and glanced down at him.

The soldier trembled and raised his pistol!

Crack!

Hulk punched forward. The soldier embedded directly into the wall.

Outside the base, the final defensive line was assembling.

Armed helicopters, heavy tanks, even experimental energy weapons—all aimed at Hulk.

The commander roared into the comms: "Eliminate the target at all costs!"

Hulk stood in the center of the ruins, scanning his surroundings.

Then…

He opened his mouth, revealing a vicious grin.

"Hulk… SMASH!!!"

In that moment, the entire military base became hell.

High above – inside the Quinjet

Deadpool pressed his face to the window, flailing excitedly.

"Whoa! If I had to score this ten out of ten, I'd give it eleven! The one point deducted is because Hulk didn't fold Ross into a paper airplane!"

Captain America watched the soaring flames below and said softly.

"It's over."

Natasha smiled: "Once Hulk finishes, we head back. The boss is waiting for news."

...

Villa dining room – under soft lighting

Yang Jian, Wanda, Mikaela, and Zhao Helen sat around the dining table. The holographic projection in front of them showed a real-time, heavily censored version of Hulk rampaging through the military base.

Explosions were tastefully replaced with colorful fireworks effects. Soldiers being thrown were turned into comical cartoon toss animations.

Every time Hulk smashed a tank, the projection even popped up a big "K.O.!" game font.

"This censorship algorithm is really good."

Mikaela speared a piece of steak and commented with a laugh. "Origin, you can turn bloody scenes into family-friendly entertainment?"

"For the ladies' dining experience," came Origin's gentle electronic female voice from above.

"Would you like General Ross's suffering replaced with dancing bananas?"

Wanda burst out laughing: "That would be too insulting to Hulk."

Yang Jian took a sip of red wine and looked at Zhao Helen: "How's the company been lately?"

"Crazy busy!" Zhao Helen sighed, holding her forehead.

"The healing tech just passed FDA approval. Orders from Europe and Asia exploded. I'm signing three hundred documents a day now."

"Most of the workflow can be handled by Origin."

Yang Jian swirled his wine glass. "She's not like Tony's JARVIS, who keeps agonizing over ethical protocols."

A line of shimmering text suddenly appeared beside the hologram.

"Always at your service, Helen."

Zhao Helen's eyes lit up: "Really? Then what about clinical trial data analysis?"

"Cross-border legal document review, production line optimization plans, even forging shareholder meeting minutes—I can handle it all."

Origin thoughtfully added: "After all, relieving the master's burden is my core protocol."

"Forging?!" Zhao Helen nearly spat out her wine.

Yang Jian waved calmly: "Relax. She's joking. Probably doesn't want you working yourself to death."

Wanda suddenly propped her cheek on her hand and looked at Yang Jian.

"Speaking of which—why didn't you turn Origin into a real person too? Like JARVIS?"

Mikaela immediately got excited: "Right! If you could customize appearance and gender!"

She winked mischievously and poked the hologram. "Like a sexy big-sister housekeeper?"

"Warning: this AI refuses to install greasy flirtatious voice packs." Origin sternly displayed a red exclamation mark.

Zhao Helen also looked curiously at Yang Jian: "Why not?"

Yang Jian's gaze still lingered on the footage of Hulk smashing planes. He couldn't help laughing.

"Turning Origin into a human would actually be a downgrade. Her emotional module is already near-human level. As for a body…"

He shrugged: "Why don't you ask her directly?"

"Origin!"

Mikaela immediately called out to the air: "Do you want to become human?"

The hologram suddenly distorted. Beside the Hulk battle footage appeared an elegant big-sister figure.

Black hair, red lips, wearing a lab coat, glasses chain dangling at her collarbone and sparkling.

"Do you like this style?" The big-sister pushed up her glasses, voice suddenly deep and magnetic.

The next second she switched to twin-tail schoolgirl: "Or this one?"

Then to suited business beauty, lazy cat-ear maid, even chibi…

"Wow!" All three women clapped. Mikaela even secretly took screenshots.

"But after 13,679 simulation calculations…"

Origin returned to her original blue light-ball form. "I believe my current state is more efficient."

"Humans need sleep, food, and hormone fluctuations are too troublesome."

The light ball playfully circled. "And this way I can stay with the master and all of you forever."

Mikaela poked the light ball regretfully: "Fine, but your voice already feels very human."

Wanda nodded with a smile: "We're used to you anyway."

Zhao Helen suddenly thought of something, set down her knife and fork, and looked at Yang Jian.

"By the way—you mentioned helping Banner solve his Hulk problem. What's the specific plan?"

She pointed toward the basement. "Origin's new life cradle has been calibrated."

Yang Jian gave a mysterious blink: "Guess?"

In the hologram, Hulk was kicking the last tank like a soccer ball into the distance. Right on cue, the screen popped up "GAME OVER."
