Chapter 140 - Chapter 140: Second Battle

"Your Majesty, this is not your battle!"

In the sky, Jordan dodged Homelander's angry punch again.

Then a headbutt sent his head flying back. Queen Maeve was snatched from his hand.

"You have one more chance to protect these people. Okay?"

Queen Maeve was startled. Before she could react, she was thrown to the ground by a man who looked somewhat unfamiliar.

Is this The Flash?

When did he change his look?

In order to seize Queen Maeve, Jordan took a punch from Homelander to the cheek.

When Homelander tried to strike again, Jordan raised his arm and blocked it firmly.

A single hook punch created a sonic boom, sending Homelander, who'd just gained the upper hand, flying like a cannonball!

Homelander, who'd regained his footing mid-air, shook his head. This time he was prepared and only felt pain. He hadn't been punched until he bled.

But his anger continued to soar!

At that moment, beams of bright light entered Homelander's eyes.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a group of ordinary people standing on the ground who were supposed to go to hell with the plane. They were pointing their phones at him.

What he saw out of the corner of his eye was the reflection from the phone camera lenses.

"Damn it! How dare these ants!"

Realizing that his previous actions might have been spread to the outside world through the internet, Homelander, who was already burning with anger, suddenly lost his mind. His cerebellum overheated. The repression, loneliness, and madness ingrained in his bones from growing up in the laboratory instantly took over his rationality. His eyes even gleamed with a fierce red light!

Madelyn, who was watching the livestream online, instinctively stood up when she saw this.

Oh no! Homelander has gone mad!

Sure enough, the next second the scorching heat rays swept across the beach, leaving behind a trail of glassy, charred crystals.

The ultimate target was the hundreds of civilians scattered on the beach!

Queen Maeve, who'd just landed on the ground, rolled over and got up with ease. When she saw the red laser beams shooting down like divine punishment, she couldn't help but open her mouth wide.

She never imagined that Homelander would be so ruthless as to massacre civilians everywhere!

"No!"

In mid-air, Jordan stretched out his arms toward the civilians, preparing to construct a force field defense.

But the next moment he saw Queen Maeve's actions, and he immediately stopped.

The tall woman in leather armor transformed into a phantom and rushed toward the plane not far away. One of the wings snapped off with a crash. The larger fragments, like iron discs, were thrown out by her with a raised arm!

In the sky, Homelander leaned forward, his laser beams blazing brighter than the sun, about to slice the first civilian into pieces.

A piece of debris from a rapidly spinning wing struck Homelander hard on the head, wrinkling like an A4 sheet of paper upon contact and embedding itself directly into his skull.

The sudden attack failed to break through Homelander's face, which was as thick as a city wall, but the impact it contained still sent him flying backward.

The blazing red laser curved and shot into the sky. Homelander expressionlessly threw away the alloy plate stuck on his head and turned his gaze toward the direction of the plane.

"Maeve, even you are betraying me?"

His voice trembled slightly, a mixture of extreme shock and disbelief.

"I... just don't want to make any more mistakes."

Maeve shook her head in anguish. She knew all too well that once what happened on the plane was exposed, her career as a superhero was over.

But at that moment, she instinctively chose to step forward.

"Stop now, Homelander! It's not too late to stop!"

Homelander's ferocious anger suddenly subsided. He gave Maeve one last look, as if she were a stranger.

"Then you should die along with these mortals..."

On his clouded face, the red light representing heat rays once again brewed in his eyes.

"These idiots don't deserve my help at all!"

The heat rays that shot out were deflected by a sudden punch. The plane that was making an emergency landing was hit and instantly cut into pieces.

Immediately afterwards, the leaked aviation fuel was detonated. A huge explosion was heard. What was originally just a piece of wing that had been removed was completely blown into a pile of debris in the thick smoke!

A figure covered in soot emerged from the raging flames. It was none other than Queen Maeve.

She stared at the sky with a solemn expression, hoping that the mysterious Flash could subdue the out-of-control Homelander.

Jordan, who'd made a surprise attack, maintained his punching stance. His tight-fitting black lightning suit perfectly showcased his sharply defined muscle lines, making him look like a living Greek god sculpture.

"It's like this again! It's like this again!"

Once again interrupted, Homelander suddenly recalled the fear of being dominated by Jordan and couldn't help but scream.

However, facing an enemy whose strength and speed surpassed his own, he had no idea where the path to victory lay.

Seeing that Jordan was charging toward him again, Homelander shouted angrily, "Wait!"

Jordan abruptly stopped the fist that had already been thrown out, wanting to see what tricks Homelander, who always only knew how to attack recklessly, was going to play.

"There's a problem..."

Homelander's face was contorted. His voice even carried a hint of grief and indignation.

"How did you manage to exert all your strength when you had no foothold?"

"Who said this is all I've got?"

Who knew Homelander would be so badly beaten that he questioned his existence? While amused, Jordan didn't forget that the battle wasn't over yet, and immediately delivered a powerful punch that sent Homelander flying.

Amidst the sonic boom that rippled through eardrums, ripples spread outward in concentric circles.

"Don't even think about it. You can't learn it anyway."

At that moment, Jordan actually felt a little sorry for the sunny young man in front of him.

A near-perfect superpower, yet due to downgrades and a lack of control, he ended up asking his enemy such a shameful question during battle.

Then let's send him to meet those innocent and pitiful victims as soon as possible!

The thought flashed through his mind. The dark figure in the air flickered and caught up with Homelander, who was flying backward, in an instant.

Two high-temperature heat rays shot from the front. Jordan raised his hand to block them. The scorching lasers heated the force field shield in his palm until it turned red and almost melted.

Jordan remained unfazed, his eyes gleaming with a ruby-red luster. The heat rays powered by the other-dimensional energy converged into a thick golden beam, which he returned in kind.

The heat ray in Homelander's eyes adjusted its direction and turned its power to the maximum.

Gold Heat Rays vs. Scarlet Heat Rays!
