Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Emergency Rescue (Part 1)

After Jordan Evans finished speaking, not only was Homelander stunned, but even Madeline looked at him thoughtfully.

"But the rescue target is an airplane, so two people working together is the most suitable option."

Madeline raised her arms and made a gesture of embracing both of them, indicating that it would not be in the image of a hero for Homelander to fly with two people.

"If Homelander were to board a plane with two people, that pose would be a bit... what do you think?"

"There's no need for such trouble. How about this, I'll go to the sea area where the plane is located myself."

Jordan waved his hand, offering a flattering reply: "I'll go up and help when the invincible 'Homelander' finishes the battle, or when the plane makes an emergency landing and needs to evacuate the passengers. What do you think of this plan?"

Are you sure...you can make it in time?

Homelander gave Jordan Evans a suspicious look, his eyes scanning him up and down. In his super senses, the man's heartbeat was unusually strong, clearly indicating that he was a superhuman with great power.

Besides that, even he couldn't detect any more useful information.

Homelander then realized that he still didn't know what true power this new member wearing a baseball cap possessed.

Just like Homelander before, Jordan stood up confidently with his chest puffed out.

"What kind of 'Flash' can't fly?"

"Then it's decided, gentlemen, we have limited time."

At Madeline's urging, Homelander nodded.

The group moved to a terrace specifically for Homelander's take-off and landing. Homelander looked at Queen Maeve, who knowingly went up to him and leaned close to his body, her right hand habitually resting on his muscular pectoral muscles.

Homelander smiled with satisfaction, reached out and embraced the Queen's slender waist, bent his legs, and launched himself into the air.

Amidst the deafening roar, Madeline struggled to cover her ears.

Just as she was about to remind Jordan not to push himself, she saw him shake his index and middle fingers together, making a goodbye gesture.

A hissing sound, like the chirping of a thousand birds, rang out, and streaks of blue electricity coiled around his body.

The next moment, he vanished from the spot.

Madeline opened her mouth, but suddenly felt that letting this mysterious man go with her might not be a good thing.

On the Atlantic Ocean.

A streak of blue light flashed, and Jordan Evans's figure appeared tens of kilometers above the stratosphere.

To maintain his persona, he added a useless lightning particle effect when he teleported in front of Madeline.

He's so gentle, he almost cried himself to tears.

In the distance, a passenger plane is flying towards the North American continent, and further away, an unidentified flying object with a speed far exceeding that of a fighter jet is rapidly approaching.

It was Homelander who was holding "Queen Maeve".

The real show is about to begin.

Jordan smiled slightly, and an invisible force field spread along his body. In the blink of an eye, he used optical mimicry to conceal his figure.

"Has 'The Flash' arrived yet?"

Queen Maeve, battling air currents several times the speed of sound, looked down at the boundless sea, but saw no one.

"Who cares?" Homelander snorted. "Whether he comes or not, the result is the same."

The two quickly located the hijacked plane. Homelander accelerated again, circled around, and silently adjusted his own speed and direction to match the plane, entering a tail-flying mode.

Once at the right distance, "Queen Maeve" patted Homelander's hand around her waist, and the latter, understanding, gently tossed her onto the roof of the plane.

Upon landing, "Queen Maeve" gracefully rolled over, dissipating the impact without making a sound, demonstrating her powerful body control.

Homelander then approached the cabin door, activated his X-ray vision to scan the situation inside the cabin, reached out and grabbed the cabin door, and pulled it sharply as he turned it.

Due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the cabin and the special structural design of the cabin door, the cabin door cannot be easily opened during flight.

But in front of "Homelander," the resistance created by the crystallization of human wisdom was like child's play. The cabin door opened outwards without any pressure, and a caught-off-guard figure was sucked out of the cabin with a scream.

Homelander nimbly turned to the side, watching him freefall while battling the high-altitude airflow.

This man was one of the criminal. Before Homelander opened the door, he was threatening the passengers with a weapon. Little did Homelander know that not wearing a seatbelt would directly cost him his life.

The plane, having lost its balance, shook violently. A figure clad in leather armor flipped and leaped into the cabin, grabbed another hijacker who had been pulled in, and snapped his neck without hesitation.

The third hijacker, standing some distance away with a menacing expression, appeared to be about to draw his gun.

Two red rays passed over "Queen Maeve" and struck the robber in the chest. He stared blankly at his chest, now bearing two charred holes, and collapsed in agony.

As Homelander calmly walked into the plane, he closed the cabin door behind him, instantly blocking the whistling airflow outside the cabin, and the plane quickly regained its balance.

"It's alright, everyone, it's all over."

Homelander and "Queen Maeve," who turned to look at him, exchanged a smile, and the passengers who realized what was happening burst into enthusiastic applause and cheers!

"Wow! Homelander is awesome!"

"Homelander and Queen Maeve, they've come to our rescue!"

"I absolutely love them! From today onwards, I'm a die-hard fan of this couple!"

The atmosphere at the scene was jubilant, as if the matter had been perfectly resolved.

If the plane lands smoothly at Chicago Airport, the Vought Group will have successfully taken a historic and crucial step.

Homelander revels in the cheers and praise from the passengers, gradually losing himself amidst the endless applause and shouts of "Long live Homelander!" Meanwhile, Queen Maeve remains restrained and calm, keenly noticing the anomaly.

The door connecting to the cockpit was locked tightly, and the crew inside did not react at all.

"Homelander, it's not over yet."

Upon hearing Maeve's words, Homelander was taken aback and followed her to the cockpit door.

Queen Maeve listened intently through the hatch and asked tentatively.

There was no response from inside the cockpit, so she decisively raised her shoulder and used all her strength to smash through the cockpit door with a "bang".

The cramped space was filled with the pungent smell of blood. The fourth hijacker, who was not part of the intelligence team, trembled as he raised his pistol and pointed it at the captain's head.

The co-pilot, sitting on the right, fell backward and had his throat slit by the hijacker with a dagger. He died in his seat from excessive blood loss.

"No, no, no, stay calm!"

Seeing the robbers become agitated because she broke down the door, Queen Maeve was startled and quickly tried to calm them down.

"Relax! Relax! As long as you cooperate, we promise we won't hurt you!"
