Mun was Emon's most beloved sister. When Emon left for the war, Mun was small. Now she had grown up. But she could never forget her elder brother.
Every evening, Mun would sit by a pond at the edge of the village. This was the same pond where Emon once used to see the djinns.
One evening, Mun saw a blue butterfly land on her hand. Looking into the butterfly's eyes, Mun recognized—this was her brother!
"Emon Dada!"—Mun whispered.
The butterfly flapped its wings three times. In Emon's language, this meant—"I am here, don't be afraid."
Mun understood—her brother was nowhere. He was everywhere. In every flower, in every leaf, in every blue butterfly.

Mun began to cry, "I miss him."
Jinir said, "Your brother is always by your side. Every blue butterfly is a message from him. And whenever danger comes to this village, he himself will appear."
Mun looked outside the window. A blue butterfly was flying away.
"Dada..."—Mun whispered.
The butterfly turned once and flew away. Just like Emon.
