Sunny was angry.
He felt frustrated that his memories got snatched from him.
He was angry at the cruel women.
He was angry at the bastard who's plan this was.
First that Basterd spent all his money then he even made him lose all his memories because of that stupid plan.
But most importantly he was angry at himself.
'If only i haven't used my shadow...I would be swimming in fortune right now....'
He understood that it was a good plan.
'But if only that Basterd hadn't left in the end, I wouldn't have used my shadow. ....And right now, I would be getting new memories instead of being broke.'
He knew the fault was on him.
But he still wanted to blame the guy.
Because that was more convenient, because that way he won't be frustrated at his own self.
It was easy to blame others, to cover you own mistakes.
So he summoned the midnight shard.
Not to kill. But to give the bastard just enough beating.
And after everything that Basterd put him through, this much was deserved.
He open the door of the room they had just moved in.
What he saw made his blood boil.
The bed was full of delicious looking food.... And that Basterd was eating without a worry in the world.
"BASTARD, YOU ARE DEAD, YOU HEAR, I'LL KILL YOU. BECAUSE OF YOU I LOST ALL MY MEMORIES. THEY WERE ABOUT TO CHOP MY HANDS AND HERE YOU ARE MUNCHING ON ALL THIS FOOD LIKE SOME LEGACY. ...YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT. YOU'LL PAY FOR ALL MY MEMORIES." Sunny shouted as he moved towards the man.
Raine just placed the food on the bed. Afraid that incoming commotion will spill all the food.
"Ok, let's talk it out, ok. Words can clear all misunderstandings, my friend. Just tell me what happened in there?" Raine said as he got up and Dodged the incoming fists.
"YOU DON'T KNOW?, WHERE DID YOU LEFT OFF TO? DID YOU WENT TO GET ALL THIS FOOD WHILE I WAS SCARED OF WHAT THOSE CRUEL MONSTERS WOULD DO TO ME? YOU LEFT ME ALONE IN THAT MONSTERS'S DEN? I WAS SURE I WOULD LOSE SOME OF MY FINGERS BACK THERE..... IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU, IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I LOST MY MEMORIES." Sunny kept swinging his fists, but that Basterd was dodging like it was child's play.
"Ok, I didn't left you for the food, you know. It's my flaw. It was because of my my flaw that I was forced to return." Raine said as he swiftly moved and used his control and his newfound power to dodge all incoming fists.
"Your Flaw?" Sunny paused, stunned.
"Yeah, I can't used my spirit form for long, or I became really weak.....And you spent about two hour in there, you know....and I suddenly felt like the connection between my body and spirit was about to break, it never happen before so even I didn't knew that something like that could happen."
"And when I returned to my body, weakness inveaded me like never before. ...I fell asleep." Raine revealed.
Sunny listened.
"And when I woke up, I was assaulted by so much hunger that I had to go and get some food, you know."
"....So you understand that it isn't my fault, right. I couldn't do anything else." Raine said.
Sunny calmed down, his anger wasn't even diracted at this man in the first place.
"So that's your flaw? That you grow weak when you use your ..ability?" Sunny asked as he put some food in his mouth absentmindedly.
"Yeah, that's basically it. That's why I only use it for short duration,.... man, I'm at about five hundred fragments again after all this time. We need to start the hunt, to fill it again." Raine said.
"Ok, I get it. .....It was mostly my fault anyway that I was caught..... Let's return to the base....we can't be seen by anyone in outer settlement so we should leave now." Sunny said as he ate the food hurriedly in order to leave.
"Ok then. Let's start the hunt from tomorrow." Raine said as he ate too.
"So tell me what happened there? How did you lose your memories?" Raine asked.
Sunny told him everything, ....in return he got laughter and more 'Wisdom' from this man.

"So where should we start, I need to fill my soul core to bring my strength at usual so let's start small, some fallen beasts should be enough for now...." Raine told Sunny in the new morning.
Sunny just stared at him like he was a madman.
"Are you crazy? We are taking fallen for our first battle? Do you want to die?" Sunny shouted.
"My friend, when strength used wisely, it multiply itself. That's why a lone assassin can succeed where armys fail."

"My aspect can weaken them severely, so facing a fallen shouldn't be a problem if you can slice through them." Raine told Sunny.

Sunny didn't knew how this man aspect worked but he had an idea.
He had seen the fight between the fallen devil and Prisma, this man's sword...and that bastard was weakened so much that even sunny was confident that even he could finish that Basterd alone if he and Saint fought togather.
"Ok, I get it. But I'm still not trusting my life on your ability. We will start small.." Sunny told him.
"No problem, my friend. I understand. ...Trust isn't something that can be built in a single day, it takes time... Long time." Raine said.
"How funny it can be broken in a single instance."

Sunny felt a bit of pain in his heart.

"So that's our Target, it's an awakend monster called Blood fiend, it's rare to see them alone. But it's still tough for Sleepers partys, luckily I know it's weakness and I can keep him busy for a while too, so it's perfect for testing your abilitys." Sunny said.
"Ok, my guy, you won't have a hard time. I'm just that awesome. let's do this....." Raine set down and closed his eyes.
Sunny already knew what to expect. So he jumped down at slashed at the creature.
Nothing serious, just to weaken it a bit.
But the monster didn't respond to his slash at all.
It looked like it was fighting a battle in his own mind.
'This really is easy...'
He approached the monster, it just growled at him, but didn't move forward, Sunny just severed it's head with a single swing.
"This is way to easy, I think we can move on to fallen ones." Sunny said to the air, not knowing where Raine was.
Just then he felt monsters approaching from all directions.
They were blood fiends. Who got attracted to smell of freshly spilled blood.
'Perfect.'
Sunny grinned and wrapped his shadow around his body.

A slaughter followed next.

"Hay, didn't we agreed on splitting the shards in half, why are you taking them all?" Sunny asked after the fierce battle. they were surrounded by bodys of nightmare creatures from all side.
"Oh, my friend, don't you think it will benefits us in long run?.. The more the initial investment is, the more profit for the future. We can stick to our deal when we fill my core fully. What you say?" Raine asked.
Sunny wanted to argue. But considering the speed they were going to harvest the creatures, he agreed easily.
Just this haul alone have given them more then fifty shards.
"Ok, but once we are done doing that, we are going back to cathedral."
"It's been long enough for that Basterd to keep breathing."
"We are going to kill that knight."
