Elysia clasped her hands together and asked adorably, "Then, could you let the other Vill-Vs come out so I can meet them too? I can hardly wait to get to know every single cute Vill-V~"
But then Elysia seemed to think of something and immediately looked troubled. "Come to think of it... inside Vill-V's mind... could there be countless little Vill-Vs? Let me think... how many birthday presents would I need to prepare for Vill-V... Ah, I wonder if my salary is enough..."
Conductor shook her head in denial, dispelling Elysia's worries. "You don't need to worry about that, Elysia. In order for each personality to reach the level of a 'genius,' Vill-V only keeps eight personalities active at any given time."
"Additionally, meeting me is essentially the same as meeting all of them. If they do not come out on their own, it simply means they are unwilling to let you see them."
"After all, most of them are rather shy. The original Vill-V herself is a shy child."
"What a pity." Elysia sighed with genuine regret.
Just then, as Elysia lowered her head in disappointment, a golden rose suddenly appeared before her eyes.
"And so, the greatest magician of the century makes her dazzling entrance! Enchanting elf lady, would you do me the honor of serving as the Magician's assistant and dancing this piece together with me?"
The enthusiastic Magician Vill-V took the initiative to come out and meet Elysia. When it came to responding to the audience's expectations, Magician never disappointed.
Elysia's smile bloomed anew, her eyes sparkling. "Hi~ Hello there, passionate and witty great Magician—my name is Elysia. As you can see, I am a cute, beautiful, and powerful girl who has just joined MOTH~"
Then, in response to Magician's invitation, Elysia shyly extended her hand clad in white silk gloves. "Then I'll leave the gentleman's steps to you, great Magician~"
Magician pressed down the brim of her top hat and performed an exaggerated gentleman's bow before lifting Elysia's hand lightly. "Naturally~ Guiding a lovely assistant into an imagined dreamscape is the duty of a performer of magic."
Whirr—whirr—whirr—
Magician led Elysia onto a device filled with mechanical intricacy.
Drawing a cane from her sleeve, Magician tapped its tip against the ground. In an instant, the surrounding light and scenery shifted rapidly. By the time Elysia steadied her steps, they were already standing upon a stage wrapped in dazzling stars.
Soft music drifted through the air, its lingering, elegant melody guiding the heart into wandering reverie. Wondrous light effects and flowing colors rendered the entire stage incomparably magnificent.
The starry sky shimmered brilliantly, as if they had stepped directly into the vast cosmos.
"Beautiful assistant, are you satisfied with this stage?"
Elysia's eyes brimmed with starlight. "Wow, that's amazing! How did you do this?"
"The show has only just begun... Please step lightly, dear assistant, and be careful not to let me step on you! As for the consequences of stepping on you... perhaps that would be another surprise?"
Magician interlocked her hands perfectly with Elysia's, guiding her into the first beat of their magical dance.
Though Vill-V was not as tall as Elysia, her gentleman's steps were executed flawlessly. Every gesture and movement was perfectly measured. From time to time, she even slipped in small tricks of magic mid-dance, bringing unexpected delight to Elysia.
As the fireworks gradually faded, the two dancers resembled twin butterflies fluttering gracefully through the air. They defied gravity, breaking free from the Earth's confinement, soaring beneath the flickering starlight.
Yes, this was not a metaphor. They truly rose into the air. Elysia could feel the weightlessness—her toes leaving the ground as she floated within the universe.
"Wow, my body is floating..."
Sensing Elysia's muscles relax, Vill-V released her hands. Elysia's body moved as fluidly as a fish in water, swimming freely through the boundless starry sky. From time to time, she called out to Vill-V, "Well? Vill-V, do I look beautiful?"
"Beautiful..."
Then Vill-V pulled a large magic staff from her trouser pocket.
Elysia's beautiful eyes reflected the oversized staff as she asked in confusion, "Eh?! Vill-V... what is that?"
"The time for magic is over. Now it's time for physics! Draw your weapon, Elysia!"
"My, what an unexpected surprise." Elysia's eyes gleamed mysteriously as she chuckled and pulled out an even larger staff from behind her back.
Of course, it was not some crude spiked club. Elysia would never use a weapon so lacking in aesthetic appeal. In her hands was an adorably designed pink rifle.
Magician had originally assumed Elysia would draw the Herrscher of Origin's magic scepter. Perhaps that truly was the exclusive privilege of the Herrscher of Origin.
Still, this rifle was quite cute as well. It was obvious Elysia had spent considerable effort decorating it. After all, it had originally been nothing more than a standard-issue rifle for MOTH soldiers.
Although this "time for physics" had been Magician's invitation, she still very timidly activated her defenses first. "Please go easy on me, little assistant... The great Magician... cannot withstand overly intense handling."
Elysia raised her "large staff." "Of course that's no problem, Vill-V. Let mature Elysia guide you~"
Though Vill-V's magic staff possessed many splendid functions and could even change size at will, it was ultimately no match for Elysia's staff. After all, regardless of the personality, every Vill-V was hopeless at sports. Magician was no exception.
After only a few exchanges, Elysia's staff tapped against Vill-V's forehead, lightly knocking awake the Magician's slumbering spirit and drawing from her an adorable sound.
Elysia immediately halted her steps and floated over with concern. "Ah, I stepped out of rhythm just now. Sorry, sorry, Magician. Are you alright?"
"Would you like Elysia to blow on your head for you?"
In truth, Elysia had guided her quite well. However, Vill-V was simply unteachable wood. Forget combat talent—she could not even pass standard physical education exams.
Magician waved her hand, declining Elysia's kindness. "No, no. Accidents are inevitable in magic performances."
Elysia's eyes sparkled as she laughed softly. "When it comes to battle, Vill-V is truly adorably inexperienced. Don't misunderstand—that's a compliment. An utterly inexperienced girl makes one feel even more inclined to cherish and protect her, doesn't she?"
The metaphor struck far too accurately. Magician puffed out one cheek in dissatisfaction. "For the great Magician to reveal such an embarrassing side before her adorable assistant—how impolite. In that case, how about this?"
Magician waved her staff. The countless stars in the sky began to shimmer violently, accompanied by tremors and shaking.
"Careful now—we're about to fall!"
The backdrop of the stage shifted as constellations rotated and reversed. Gravity gradually intensified, and the two of them descended together back toward the ground. At the moment the magic staff struck the floor, the stars in the sky began falling along with it.
