It was Halloween. Pumpkins and Jack-o-lanterns floated around the castle. Thousands of bats fluttered around the graeat hall casting shadows across the walls. Ghost began spooking people, suddenly poping out of walls, suddenly flying through people, a lot of people were spooked.
"Do Wizards wear costumes?" Colin asked Basil as they were leaving Lockharts class. Classmates thanking Basil as they passed by.
"Nah, you won't find black cats or skeletons here." Basil waved to the others adding. "Wizards never really did costumes."
"We just wear our uniforms?" Colin frowned.
Basil looked at Colin's expression and decided to cheer him up.
"Let's wear costumes then."
"Huh? But isn't that against the rules?"
"Who cares. It's just a couple points."
Colin still felt a bit uneasy but decided to follow Basils lead.
"What costume are you going to wear?"
They were standing in front of an empty wall on the seventh corridor. Behind them was the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. Trolls repeatedly tilting him on the head.
"What about a Crumple-Horned Snorkack?" Luna had joined them earlier when they were walking up the stairs.
"No no no, we need do do something scary. Come on Halloween is all about being scary now." Basil rejected her idea.
"Michael Myers?" Suggested Colin.
"Who is Michael Myers?" Luna, someone who has lived in the magical world all her life, did not know about a certain serial killer.
"He's a serial killer. From a pretty popular movie. Though I didnt see it, there are a lot of his posters whenever its Halloween."
"I got it!" Basil exclaimed. "Dementors!"
"That is pretty scary." Luna nodded.
"What is a Dementor?" Colin asked.
Basil laughed mischievously. "Oh, its a creature that drains warmth from the air, sucks happiness from your hearts, and worst of all... it kisses you."
"Kisses?" Colin was dumbfounded. That last part didnt feel like it belonged there.
Luna laughed lightly. "It's not actually kissing. It sucks your soul out of your body. We just call it the Dementors kiss."
"Ohh." Colin finally understood, but one thing still bothered him. "Why kiss?"
"The Dementors sucks souls out of the mouth, like it literally kisses you." Calming down, Luna answered as Basil began walking up and down three times.
The Room of Requirement opened its doors. It was filled with tattered black robes and cloaks.
"That's a lot. Why don't we hand them out? It will be funny if everyone wore one." Basil suggested and Luna and Colin agreed.
"Hello, come get your own Dementor costume here!"
They were standing in front of the Great Hall, handing out the Dementor costumes.
"Hey, where is Ginny?" After some time Luna remembered that there was another person in their friend group.
"Hmm. I think she wasn't feeling that well."
"Yeah she was a little pale yesterday. She didn't want to talk about it though."
Colin and Basil both remembered how weirdly she was acting.
"Maybe she got the Wrackspurts." Luna pondered.
Soon the feast started, there were a lot of Dementors. More than half of the students were wearing dark cloaks, it was impossible to pinpoint anyone in the sea of dark cloaks.
"Why did you stop me."
At the Professors table, Snape was questioning Dumbledore.
"Relax Severus, it's Halloween in the muggle world children wear all kinds of costumes."
"This is not the muggle world Headmaster, and it is against school rules to not wear uniforms in formal events."
"Please relax Professor Snape, let's just let the students have some fun." Lockhart interrupted them giving his signature smile.
"Gilderoy's right, Severus. Relax." Dumbledore also placated Snape.
"The only thing he's ever been right about." Snape muttered under his breath.
As the feast ended and the students began leaving Colin noticed Basil piling food onto his plate.
"Are you actually going to eat that?"
"No, it's for Ginny."
Colin widened his eyes, suddenly remembering that Ginny hadn't had dinner.
"This should be enough." After piling one of every dish onto his plate, Basil skillfully lifted the plate without spilling anything.
"Hey do you hear that?"
After walking for a while they heard a lot of people murmuring. Walking over they saw lots of students walking with uneasy faces, some looking back.
"Hey what's going on?" Basil asked a random person nearby.
"You just got here?" The boy had a gloomy face. "Just look over there." He pointed behind him.
Colin and Basil wove through the crowd, making sure not to spill anything.
As they got through, they noticed red paint on the wall.
"The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware."
Colin's eyes widened. Although he didnt know what the Chamber of Secrets was he knew it wasnt anything good.
Compared to Colin, Basil's reaction was tame. But that wasn't because he was calm but rather stunned. 'The Chamber of Secrets' he hadn't heard of that in a long time.
"Hey Basil what is the Chamber of Secrets?" Colin turned to Basil.
"Salazar." Basil muttered unconsciously.
"Huh? What did you say?" Colin didn't hear Basil mutter but Basil didnt respond.
"Let's go." Basil finally responded, he pulled Colin away from the corridor towards the Gryffindor common room.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Colin looked at his face, there was no smile or the usual grin present.
"I... don't know."

Omg 2 chapters in a row? What happened?
Did a shapeshifter kill me and take my place?
Did a workaholic ghost possess me?
Or did someone kidnap me. Forcing me to write nonstop for the rest of my life?
Not telling you.
